For anyone on the fence—My daughter (age 6) received the mega gemstone dig kit last year for Christmas and it was her favorite gift! It kept her very busy—not too hard but not too easy—and she was so excited every time she find a stone. She still inspects the stones, looks up information about them, and plays school and teaches others about them. She liked it so much that she asked for another dig kit this year!

I bought my 7 year old son the gemstone dig. We were both disappointed. The gems were so small (smaller than the size of a pinky nail). He finished it very fast. But he did go back and polish them later, so maybe it wasn’t a complete bust.
