Target is still showing it lisited as 49.99.

Hmm, have you tried adding it to your cart? I still find it for $29.99 from Target, when heading to checkout. Hope that helps!

      • Pinky

When I added it to my cart the price did change to the 29.99. When just looking at the item though it shows as the 49.99, strange that is shows up listed that way.

I agree! Glad you could grab the discounted price when adding to your cart! Thanks for the update! 😉

Does this require WiFi to stream?

Does anyone has the super easy breakdown here. I have been wanting to do the Roku,Fire Stick etc but I delve into to research and get to bogged down. Any recommendations?

I think which you should get depends on what you want to use it for. Both will work for Netflix. We used YouTube TV for our live channels, the fire stick does not work for that, but my parents have their live TV through their mobile plan, and we can not stream that through the roku.

I have the Roku express and love Roku. I’m considering upgrading to this one.

For those trying to decide between this and the fire stick, If you google it there are many comparisons out there. I think they are pretty much neck and neck. We have the fire stick and like it just fine. However, not all apps are supported on the fire stick. We are trying to free ourselves from some of the cable boxes in our house and planned on downloading the spectrum tv app to watch it from our fire stick but the app isn’t available so we will have to purchase the Roku. So, if you plan on using these to stream TV instead of using a cable box then do your research to make sure it’s supported.

I have the Roku and then downloaded the Directv Now app onto it and purchased Directv Now so I can watch and record all my shows. I have the Just Right plan and pay $58.76 per month whereas I was paying over $135/month with Directv. Love the Roku!

We pay for Philo on Roku for just $16 per month. It has pretty much all the channels I watched on Directv, but no sport channels (I don’t watch sports anyway).

I had $14 in Target giftcards (from Coke promo) and bought the Roku for $16.42 shipped with tax.
