I bought one! It is very nice, very soft, pretty blanket and feels wonderful.
I did Jessica, I got the Tranquility blanket at Kohls on BF for $36 – keep in mind they are only a throw size 72×48. I definitely wouldn’t pay more than $36 and still I’m debating taking mine back because it’s more of a novelty with my kids than a blanket you would sleep under, and definitely isn’t big enough for two people. It’s soft, feels kinda like the blanket they put on you at the Dentist office, but nothing like my king size Sherpa comforter – that baby is heaven to sleep with.
can you share the for the Sherpa comforter. Also, does this have a cover? How to wash? So is this petty much a kid size?
It does not come with a cover- I bought one for my son as well and it’s great quality. I ordered a cover through amazon that was another $40 so there’s no real way around the costs. It does seem very well made and it seems to be making some difference. I am curious about one for myself but at 5’10” it has driven me nuts when I’ve tested his out for a nap and my toes are cold.
I bought mine from Sears last year on a whim because they were offering 100% cash back on purchases, and it was one of the best purchases ever! I can’t find it on-line or even in order history, however, I found one very similar to the one I purchased, but they offered about 6 different colors, I bought grey, but this one is red, perfect for christmas. And for a King size it’s only $59.99 and appears to be free shipping. I miss Sears, I got so many amazing deals, so sad so many stores are gone. Thanks for posting this. I just started looking into weighted blankets and I didn’t realize that not being able to wash them was even a thing. I would like one but having to take it to the laundry mat every time is kind of inconvenient.
I’ve had this same blanket for about two years now. (And bought four on Black Friday as gifts) I wash mine every two weeks or so in the washer. Gentle cycle, cold water. I dry in the dryer on low heat. I’ve never had any issues. I do have a commercial type washer though, so I’d check the weight limit on your washer first.

I scored three of the weighted blankets from target. I haven’t returned them yet but I think I will. I also found and bought the Koren mink 10lb weighted blanket in a king size for less than $60 on Walmart website (sells on Amazon for $90+). I wanted to compare the two and there is no comparison. The Koren mink blanket has a pretty pattern and feels so soft and luxurious. What’s even better is that it can be washed!
