Just FYI for anyone that’s going to Kohls….I just got back from mine and they have further reduced the Back to School lunch bags and the backpacks to about 75 – 90%! I got Jansport backpacks for $7.40 – 25% friends & family = $5.55, and $5.40 – 25% = $4.05 and the lunch bag was $6 – 25% = $4.50. These retailed from $30 (lunch bag) to $75 (backpacks) and have lifetime guarantees on them (see their website re: claims on damaged items). I have never seen them so cheap! We are stocked for rest of school. There were Fila lunch bags marked down to $2 – 25% = $1.50.
Whenever I try to use Kohl’s codes they are rejected. it seems to me that most sale items are excluded. I find this super shady as their toy prices especially are priced significantly higher than pretty much every place else. It’s like a deliberate attempt to make up any loss for the Kohl’s cash you may want to spend. I just bought toys elsewhere that are almost double the price on Kohl’s site than what I paid for them. JC Penny got busted a while back for not having real sales, as in, they increased their prices right before a sale so when they “discounted” them, it wasn’t really a deal. I am starting to feel that way about Kohl’s. Anyone else have this trouble?
For instance the big sale price at Kohl’s for Tonka trucks is $5 ABOVE what Amazon has. The “ sale” is not a deal.
