Check out this FUN idea from Hip2Save reader, Carrie…

We got this as a family gift last year in a gift basket. Also in the basket was the children’s book “Spaghetti with the Yeti”, a box of spaghetti noodles and jar of spaghetti sauce, a box of plain bakery sugar cookies, turquoise and black frostings, shredded coconut, and candy eyes for us to make our own look alike Yeti cookies.

We made a whole family night out of it with spaghetti dinner, playing the game, and decorating Yeti cookies and reading the book for bedtime. My kids thought it was an absolute blast, and even hubby and I really enjoyed it! Such a fun and budget friendly family gift!

I would pass on this game. I bought it for my kiddos last year and it’s just silly. Won’t hold their attention very long and it’s not a game grown ups would want to play more than once.

Having said that, I appreciate all the deals you guys post everyday. Love this site. Thank you so much for everything you guys do.

I agree – worth skipping! My boys (5 & 7) played maybe twice? The seven year old had to be coaxed and begged to play with little brother. They are now 6 & 8 and LOVE jr. monopoly together – Buy that one! This yeti game was a major let-down…and HOW DO YOU PUT IT BACK IN BOX???? It never fit back in box – and the spaghetti always comes out the yeti-hole in the front (plastic cover isn’t stuck to the box) and if you tape the yeti plastic cover, you can’t stack it!!!! Whoever designed this box clearly doesn’t HAVE any games to store! LOL It’s one of those seemingly little things that makes your life soo miserable (that yeti-hole and too small box, I mean! LOL And they never even play it (ha-ha-).

I agree it’s not very exciting, but it’s a game kids of all ages can play. My kids all enjoy it.

My daughter got this game when she just turned 5 and she now just turned 7. She liked playing it when she was 5 and she still has a good time playing it at the age of 7. I recommend the game. I have fun playing it with her. It’s a quick game. We play it about 3 times in a row to see who wins the best out of 3.

I bought this for my (almost) 3 yr old grandson and he loved it! In fact his (almost) 2yr Old sister loved it also. We played and laughed and I knew that they had no clue that the Yeti was NOT supposed to fall in the “spaghetti “ which I thought was even more funny. I think that the concept of trying to pull a piece that won’t affect the balance is a little over their heads for. But we love playing it several times when they come over once a week. I recommend this game.

I guess everyone has their own opinion. We’ve had this game for a couple of years. It was an instant hit and my son, 7, still pulls it out when we’re playing games.
