Promoting Sears seem like a moot point right now. The Sears Holding Company did nothing to keep Sears or K-Mart intact. Most were given bonuses to let the dissolution occur. It was easier to put up the white flag than fight to keep the franchises open. I miss Sears and K-Mart. I miss J.C. Penney also.
I agree. It’s kind of sad. Also, by doing these promotions so late after filing for bankruptcy and doing them on smartphones no less seems to be alienating the original supporters (who are now seniors) and a lot of them are not tech savvy. People like my mom and dad…they want printed coupons and mailers or to be able to print them off of their computers and show them to a sales person. They are not going to use a mobile coupon. It’s too late to try to attract the younger set since Sears/Kmart have lost a lot of their vendors that could have appealed to the younger set. (Playing Taps right now…….) :o(
Sears has not been Sears for decades. My grandfather retired from Sears and that was a store worth shopping at. Before ours closed the shelves had been mostly bare for years and it was not even worth the time to stop there. There appliances used to be the god standard before they started making them in China. They did it to themselves.
I would appreciate a coupon if someone’s not going to use theirs. I have both Sears and Kmart (doing great business) within a mile from my place.

Do you have to use a smartphone?
My mom has an account but no smartphone. Does the coupon have to be sent to the phone number on the Shop Your Way account? When I buy something in store from Sears, I give them my mother’s phone number so she can get the points from my purchase. I log into my mother’s account for website purchases.

I went to spend the $10 today. Well i spent more than that BUT i got $30 back in points!!! Members get 100% CASHBACK in points up to $30 in points at Sears. Points available next day and expire on 12/25 . Max $30 in points and 1 time per member. Cannot be combined with other offers.

So you can use the $10 freecash & pay out of pocket $20 more and get back $30 points???
Usually they won’t count any freecash or points you use to calculate cash back in points. So I think the best would be to buy $40 worth of stuff, use the $10 freecash, pay $30 out of pocket and get $30 bonus cash back in points. But essentially everything would be free if you spent $40 because you used $10 freecash and got $30 in points. Plus what made the deal even better is they still have lots of great deals going on in store, well at least my store did anyway. HTH!
