I’ve used this quite a few times and it actually works. It’s a great option for shopping at Uniqlo. Make sure that you document everything – I take photos of the box ready to go and with the label attached and submit with the paperwork online.

Where exactly can I see this offer in PayPal?

sign into paypal then come back here and click her link above, that worked for me

I received this offer in an email from Paypal on 12/2.

PayPal would be happy to know that my candle order from Bath & Body Works Annual candle sale will not have to be shipped back. Over half of the candle glass was smashed or cracked when it arrived yesterday. I would think the boxes would be marked as ” *Glass * Fragile * “

Is the reimbursement added to your Paypal balance or is it sent back to your card?

I never fully verified my account. I refuse to open a line of credit or connect my Paypal account to my bank account. I don’t need a line of credit. If someone hacked into my Paypal account they would have access to the balance of my bank account.

Paypal severely limited unverified accounts back in April. I am no longer allowed to receive money, send money, or carry a balance. I can still pay with Paypal. The charge will just go directly to my card.

Hi Sara! It is added to your PayPal account. Here is what they have listed in the details –
“If Your refund request is approved, You will receive the corresponding funds, up to $30 USD, directly into your PayPal account “.

      Hope that helps!

Even though I received an email for this offer that said it was for eligible account owners, I won’t be able to use this offer. I clicked on a link to the terms and conditions in the email. Under the eligibility requirements it said:

        • You must hold a U.S. PayPal account that is not suspended or limited;

        Unverified accounts are limited.

I use PayPal to pay for literally everything. I have my bank account linked, my debit card, 2 credit cards, and a PP MasterCard. I feel much safer ordering online when I not only have CC protection but an added layer of PP protection. Since PP’s job is money, I feel extremely confident in their data protection and cyber security practices. I have more trust in them than I do my credit card companies or bank for that matter. I even have a lot of my recurring charges (Hulu, Home Chef, etc.) go through PP for the extra security.

That being said, I’ve used this feature a few times over the years, mostly for DSW who charges like $9 for return shipping. It’s been really easy to get my money reimbursed every time and I appreciate PP having the option. If you look at your individual transactions in PP, click on the transaction that you want return shipping reimbursed, there is a link in the Summary that says “Request Return Shipping Refund.” My refunds have always gone to my PP balance and then I use it from there; or I could cash out to my bank account.

Equifax and Experian work with credit reports. Your credit reports affect an increasing amount of your life. You would think they would have really good security. They were still successfully hacked.

Hi Sara, I’m happy to agree to disagree with you. I actually work in cyber security and have almost finished a master’s degree in cyber security policy and compliance. My extensive research and knowledge about PP business practices and security give me a great deal of confidence in them but I’m not ignorant to the fact that they could have a data breach. No one is safe from hackers; no company or person can be 100% safe and any one who says they are is sadly misinformed.

In addition, most of our personal information is already out there on the good ole interweb and dark web. Credit card numbers can be bought for as little as $0.50 each; your SSN sells for a couple bucks. Just like some people like the convenience of Siri, Alexa, and other IoT devices and are willing to overlook the security flaws and vulnerabilities of them; I’m willing to use PP as my primary payment method for the convenience and risk of them being breached (however, they have much better security than Equifax and Experian, who both knowingly ignored and didn’t update/patch a known software vulnerability).

What’s good for me, obviously isn’t good for you and that’s totally okay! I appreciate your concern and thoughts =)

I agree. No way would I link a bank account to anything out there including PayPal. Too risky!!

They only times I have paid by bank draft are when I was paying my fee bill at LSU. They charged a 2.5% convenience fee if you paid by credit or debit card. A few times my fee bill after loans and TOPS was between $3,000 and $5,500. I was not going to pay an additional $75 – $137.50 for using a debit card.
