And Because we bought one so late in the year once, I removed it from my dog and placed it in a freezer bag back in the tin until the ground started to thaw. Then we used it and bought a new one a couple months later to use for summer and fall.
I should also have mentioned we use them on a dog and cat.

They are great! Been using them for several years. No issues. I switched from frontline and don’t like topicals plus it was getting less effective. The pill form if the flea/tick stuff scares me a bit because the pesticide is ingested and the mechanism of how it works is different. I think, and this is my personal opinion, there will be health issues associated with the pills once they have enough data… they are fairly new (5 ish years old).

Just make sure you check your kitty often with these collars. I tried one on mine and it gave her a horrible chemical burn everywhere it came in contact with her. I checked her daily and she did well, then, overnight, it happened. It was horrible.
