Not to be the downer on this post, but their customer service has been AWFUL!! I bought the groupon membership and the whole experience in store and online has been a nightmare. I hope other people don’t have the same experience! I will be sticking with Costco in the future.

Same issues here too! We opted for Sams since it’s closer. Groupon was no help and Sams was worse! It took 2 weeks to finally get our membership activated. Such a headache. Definitely sticking with Costco from now on!
Really? I never had a problem when I found a membership deal for Sam’s. However, Costco was a different story. Just stay on top of your business if you find membership deals, because stores or better yet employees will try to cheat you. Once I applied for a Costco deal where they’d email you a $20 ecard once you actually went in-store with your print out & after scanning the barcode on the printout to apply for membership. After showing it to a manager in Customer Service, she whispered to an employee to process it a certain way obviously not scanning the barcode as the instructions pointed out & needless to say 2 wks passed & still no $20 e-card. I saved all emails & immediately emailed their corporate office. Thankfully, they were quick to remedy the situation. But the lesson here is keep all documentation just in case stores don’t keep their word especially regarding deals.
I HATE Sam’s Club!!!!! O totally agree about customer service too, once I waited in store over an hour with a toddler and infant, because I had to go back because they did the activate one of the gift cards 8 bought, and threw away another gift card that I paid for….I swore to never shop there ever again. I see products missing, people stealing stuff from there all the time. I LOVE Costco!
I have to agree! Customer service there stinks. Maybe it has something to do with Sams Club being owned by Walmart.
I didn’t have any problem getting in line and the customer service was good but have never ordered online. Guess it depends on time and location.

The 50.00 fot 35.00 dollars was in November one day sale i work there in Florida and our custmer srevice people are awesone it depends on where you go.
Sam’s Club was a great big, hairy disappointment. I stayed up late to try and snag a Ninja Foodi. I got one in my cart and was in the middle of checking out when I get a message that said “Just a moment”. I started a chat right away and was told their website went down so I should close the browser and try again. Of course it was out of stock by that time and the representative told me they don’t offer rainchecks – or any other customer service for that matter – and it was limited quantities so too bad for me. Also, it was online only so it won’t be available in store in the morning. Total waste of my time and energy to stay up late for this and a great big fail for Sam’s Club.
I had the exact same experience. I stayed up until midnight to get the Ninja Foodi. At 12:01 when the price changed, I put one in my cart but was never able to make it through the check out process. I tried for another 30 minutes until the website eventually said out of stock. Huge disappointment with this one and customer service was no help at all.
The kicker is after I gave up I was browsing Facebook and there was a Sam’s Club sponsored post in my feed that said “you left items in your cart, don’t forget to check out” …. not nice lol
The last time they had a one day sale only a very small number of the people in line at the store were given numbers to come back at a specified time and buy sale items. So I went in for an iphone at 11 am and I was WAY too late. Ridiculous. At Costco when these phones went on sale a week later, they ordered one for me when they went out of stock at the store. Sa,’s has no respectfor their customers by playing these stupid games!!!
