    Great ideas! Thanks for sharing!

I recently had a $6 off Duracell clicklist at Kroger. I ordered a 3 pack of D (which would have been $2.49) they were out so they subbed a 5 pack and I told them about my $6 coupon and they price adjusted the 5 to $2.49 for me. I was so excited.

  3. Gigi

    Don’t forget Lowe’s and 99 cent stores.

  4. Nicole

Harbor Freight also always seems to have coupons out for free 24 pack of AA or AAA with any purchase. Consider buying a small item like super glue or mini flashlight to snag some cheap batteries 🙂

    • Jennifer

      I do this every year!

    • Ashley

You’re so right! What a great idea, and snag a stocking stuffer too.

Thanks for pointing that out! I have updated the details!

One warning about Kirkland batteries – they leak. I had it happen at home in a few items, but then I volunteer in our high school math department that has a couple hundred graphing calculators. I found that the Kirkland batteries leaked more so than other brands (even the dollar store ones).
Ikea is another idea for reasonable priced batteries (AAA, AA, C, D).
Amazon is the best place for button batteries.
For me, I’ve invested in rechargeable batteries and those work the best (none have leaked! lol) in items that are often used (clocks, game controllers, etc).

    • Jay

I agree with the corrosive Kirkland batteries especially on the AAA

  6. Jane

Can anyone recommend a rechargeable? Much appreciated.

    • andrea

Enelope batteries are the best rechargeable batteries. Used many brands over the years in xbox controllers and they have held up the best and lasted a long time. Using same ones for 5 years now. We use them in everything now.

      • Jane

Thank you for taking your time to common, Andrea. Merry Christmas!

    • gamrgrl87

Ikea! They sell amazing rechargeable batteries, affordable and better for the environment. I think I paid $6 for 4 AAA earlier this year, and they’ve paid for themselves already.

  7. Bridge

What’s your opinion on the Sunbeam batteries that can be purchased from the Dollar Tree? Curious if they last like the name brand ones.

      • Bridge

        Thanks Sara!

Two Amazon AAAs last five months in my PS4 bluetooth remote. The remote stays on for 30 minutes straight before timing out. I don’t use the controller unless the console forces me to. I don’t play games on it. I only use it for Netflix, Hulu, and the occasional DVD. I watch Netflix/Hulu for about five hours almost every night.

  9. C

I usually buy AA and AAA from Aldi.

  10. Rebecca

We always buy several packs of AAs and AAAs at Lowe’s on black Friday, and we’re set for the rest of the year! Any small specialty/watch batteries you might need for toys can almost always be found at Dollar Tree(like for Fingerlings etc).

  11. Michelle

Another vote for Harbor Freight. Can’t beat FREE 👏👌👍

HF also has these awesome glass globe solar stakes – a set of 3 for $10 ($8 with 20 % coupon.) I emailed Colin but she never posted the deal 😑

  12. Berrysaves

Shoprite has energizer for I think 6.99 for 16ct and than the coupon.

  13. Kiana

I agree about the IKEA batteries. $2.99 for 10 AAA or AA. They last well, don’t leak, and it nice to be able to get a smaller package if you don’t have room for lots of storage.
