FYI – At all CVS locations near me in PA, the CG 3 & 4 Kit eye shadows are now $6.29. Additionally, the current CG printable coupon is 1 per day. They told me they consider “purchase” everything bought at CVS on the same date.
They can make up their own meaning of what “purchase” means all they want, but that definitely doesn’t make it correct. Each individual item is a purchase, and it only means that 2 of the manufacturer coupons can’t be applied to a single item.
Was it a manager who told you this? If not, I would ask for one upon being told that. If yes, I would send an e-mail to CVS customer service to inform them that the employees of that store need to be properly trained on what coupon verbiage actually means.
Does the coupon say Limit 1 coupon per transaction OR 1 coupon per purchase? Cuz if it says per transaction, then you can only use 1 coupon no matter how many you want to buy. If it says per purchase, then you most certainly can use as many q’s as products you are purchasing.
Sometimes when I get cashiers that don’t understand, I explain by putting a coupon on top of each item, saying I’m purchasing this item with this coupon, and so on, then circle my hand over everything and say this is my entire transaction, and the coupon doesn’t say anything about limiting 1 per transaction. Usually that helps. If not, then just say well never mind, I’ll go somewhere else.
The same thing happened at my store and the register was rejecting my second coupon. I was trying to explain what a purchase is to the manager and of course his definition was really the definition of a transaction. then he said that they cant override the register no matter what anymore so it doesn’t matter anyway. So it seems as thought the registers are programmed to do that maybe now? It wont even take the $/$$ CVS coupons anymore based on the total pre coupons. Definitely not as good as it used to be and that was my main store I got my deals from – not anymore!

My CVS store already has quite a bit of their holiday merchandise 50% off. I think many stores are now going 40%, 50%, 60%, and some like Michaels and JoAnn’s already 70% off before Christmas. Quickly wanting to clear those shelves to make room for Valentine’s day candy! LOL.
