Don’t get me wrong I love Target. I’ve had a RedCard since 2007 and I’m all for their app/Cartwheel offers and I can spend hours looking for hidden and not-so-hidden clearance deals. But am I the only one that HATES their new layout? Almost all the stores in my city have been remodeled now and I find it so hard to find anything! Each entrance has a useless area full of low tables. One usually has seasonal things and the other random toys and touristy items. They just seem like a bunch of random things dropped in the wrong area. If I want Christmas chocolates I’ll look in the Christmas candy aisle and if I want toys I’ll go to the toy aisle. There’s a similar area of deadspace in between the girls clothing section, baby clothes and toys. They’ve even created a round-about around that section of shelves. Now I have to steer my cart around in a circle and as a result of the space they’ve given up, the girls clothing seems squished together and it’s hard to navigate and find what I’m looking for. Similarly the toy section is a mismatch of short and regular shelves running at a variety of right angles. The make-up section is similarly frustrating. I find myself walking back and forth searching for what I want to purchase whereas before if you knew which department to go to you could go up and down the aisles in a logical pattern to find the exact spot.
Sorry for the rant, just wondering if anyone else feels the same way?

Oh my gosh, same here!!! It drives me bonkers. They intermixed the boys and girls clothes which I hate. For the longest time I was missing an entire section and didn’t realize it. They redid our starbucks cafe and had it closed for months. I was so excited about the reveal and it was the exact same. They just made it a dark ugly brown color and added about 15 tables that are always empty. We have that touristy spot at the front of our store. They fill it with the new trend items such as the Mickey mouse retro stuff, then the hunter stuff, then the harry potter. They stick these huge random glass shelves in the aisle making it difficult to walk around. They have these huge shelves in all the older kids aisle. We have 3 of them which I think you are referring as the round abouts. They block you off and you have to circle full circle to view the other half of the girl stuff….same on the boys side. They took away the tall shelves and added in short stubby shelves that remind me of a thrift store shelving. I do not even go down the middle aisle anymore. The very back of our store is seasonal, but it is filled with junk. It lost its appeal its pizzazz. I no longer love it and hardly go anymore. I have no desire to. The clothing for not only women but kids is awful. Mesh see through plastic like jackets for little girls. The boys are filled with early 90’s style clothing. I used to love their clothes. The infants and toddler stuff is still adorable. It is too crowded in the aisles and even worse by the big block shelves they randomly put in the clothes sections. My biggest frustration is instead of my store stocking at night like most stores do, they stock in the middle of the day during the week. The aisles are blocked full of pulleys, carts, crates, boxes several times a week. Sometimes I have to skip whole sections because I can’t fit and they act like I am the inconvenience when I try to squeeze by to look.

I am with you. LUV Target. It has been my sanctuary in hard times the last few years and before that just a fun thing to do on any day that ends in Y, but I HATE the new layout. I have been going less & less. It makes me sad.

@MommySpendsLess – I hear you. I think it’s annoying at first but then I get the hang of it and move forward.

    Collin,
I call my husband “Baby”, will that count? Ha!

FYI – Coach is having a great 50% off Winter sale!

I just got one of these a couple days ago and mine included all of that (although I go Aveeno baby lotion in place of the johnson’s wash) and also a pacifier and pampers sample pack including a diaper, 3 wipes and a little reusable pouch for them all. I’m well on my way to a large diaper stash now esp after the latest costco deal!

    • Mary

Oh I just noticed…mine also included an 4-pack of Honest diapers in addition to the 10 count wipes. I guess I really scored!

Hi .. can i create a baby registry online and stop by the guest desk for my free welcome kit. TIA

    • Allison

Yes you can, I did exactly that.

      • Maggie

        Thanks Allison 😊

Y’all lucky. I have registeeed for a long time and never got my bag. They always say no when I go up there

  6. Latasha

I tried to do this on Friday morning and the guy at guest services acted like I had three heads when I asked about this. I still did the registry as Target is my go-to anyway but it was disappointing

My daughter is due in July and the only thing she received for creating her baby registry was the completion coupon she’ll receive to complete the registry 🤷🏽‍♀️
