It’s BAAACK! Walmart Wednesday Has Returned With Fun, Casual Styles at a STEAL!
You read that right!
After much anticipation, we are starting up Walmart Wednesdays again so we can showcase fun, frugal, casual styles! If you’re not familiar, Walmart Wednesday is our series where I and some of my Hip2Save team members browse the clothing section at Walmart (online or in-store) to put together outfits for CHEAP!
We had put the series on pause last spring, but after so many requests (and us itching to start shopping the selection again), we’ve reintroduced this fun and frugal series!
So why Walmart? Let’s face it—Walmart isn’t exactly the first place people usually go for clothes. If anything, most people would opt to shop the clothing aisles at Target with their wide selection of hip styles (so it wouldn’t be much of a challenge if we did “Target Tuesday”). With Walmart’s bad rap for clothes, we want to show everyone that it IS possible to find cute, trendy styles – and prove just how much Walmart has stepped up their fashion game while still helping to keep our budgets in check. 🙌
This week is all about comfy and casual looks! Check them out below.
My outfit
I forgot how much I love browsing Walmart apparel clearance, especially when you can do it ONLINE from your wonderful and oh so cozy couch! This week I’m sporting a casual look that’s crazy comfy. I spotted some fun graphic tees while browsing online, and ended up scoring this Valentine’s Day inspired one I’m wearing for just $5—sweet!
My Outfit:
- Heart and Crush Ribbed Cardigan – $14.50
- Cherokee Graphic Tee – $5
- Time & Tru Soft Knit Jeggings – $13.36
- Faded Glory Lace-Up Sneakers – $10.50
- Big Chill Soft Shell Parka – $25
These are the most comfortable jeggings – they look like jeans, feel like leggings, and I love that you can dress them up or down. I chose to dress down by pairing them with these adorable shoes that have a Keds vibe to them. Even sweeter, they were only $10.50 so they definitely don’t have a Keds price tag. I’m sure the Keds shoes are higher in quality, but I am still really pleased with these, and love that I can easily throw them on with jeans and a tee.
Did you see my Facebook Live yesterday where I gave a sneak peek at our Walmart Wednesday finds? Well, this jacket was one of my favorite buys and priced at only $25! I’m so impressed with the quality, from the fit to the removable faux fur hood. Plus, Walmart has a ton of other winter jackets on sale so get to browsing the clearance section if you need a new coat!
Michelle’s outfit
How cute is Michelle?! I love her whole look, especially since she finished it off with a gorgeous velour tote bag that even matches her shoes!
Michelle’s Outfit:
- Time and Tru Sculpting Ankle Jegging – $17.84
- Time and Tru Women’s Flat Quilted Shoe – $8.50
- Time and Tru Mauve Velvet Tote – $7
- *Also available in Emerald and Mustard
- Time and Tru Ruffle Sleeve Top (*In-store only) – $11.88
“I love these shoes! I own the green pair, too, and wear them all the time—such great quality. As for my jeans, I looked at these on the rack and they seemed small, so I sized up. But you guys, they are amazing for curvy girls! They stretch and suck you in in all the right places and are nice and thick. I need all the colors!” – Michelle
Stetson’s Outfit
Come on you guys, we gotta find a Valentine for this guy! 😆 He’s got his date night outfit already picked out thanks to Walmart. This is our first men’s outfit for Walmart Wednesday, and I’m seriously just as impressed—I would have never guessed his look is from Walmart!
Stetson’s Outfit:
- George Long Sleeve Stretch Poplin Shirt – $16.72
- Wrangler Slim Straight Jeans – $19.97
- George Men’s Canvas Shoes – $10
“Well, at least this outfit isn’t the usual embarrassing ensemble that Collin normally picks out for me! 🤦I have to say, Walmart is definitely not my first choice when it comes to clothes shopping, but I’m not mad at what I was able to put together. From the shirt to the shoes, everything looks like a name brand item in my opinion!” — Stetson
We’re so excited to have our Walmart Wednesdays back! We are so ready to challenge ourselves weekly to find clothes we love and share our finds with all of you! 💃Tune in next week for more outfits on a budget.
I love it! These are some of my favorite posts because they are so mind blowing. LOL!
I remember when my previous hairdresser made a comment to my son that he looked like we shopped Walmart. I was actually offended and found a new hairdresser. I have made many clearance item purchases at Walmart for myself, and a few things for my kids. I can tell you that, unless you broadcast that your clothing came from Walmart would otherwise know the difference. I primarily shop Kohls and various well-known online retailers. I can tell you one thing, I have purchased a few leggings and undershirts for a fraction of the cost at Walmart. There isn’t a difference in quality, and my checkbook is very happy. I have also purchased a few shirts and skirts. I just bought my daughter a few undershirts and a pair of shorts from a clearance table. The undershirts were $.50 and the so were the shorts! I found a few in my size too! The best $.50 I ever spent!!!
Love the Walmart looks! I have a pair of boots I bought at Walmart for $25 and get compliments on them CONSTANTLY!! And I may need to pick up those quilted slip-ons, they’re adorable!
When my kids were little we used to shop Goodwill for cute clothes on the cheap, plus I didn’t mind if they got destroyed (which my son was notorious for). My daughter loved it because she’d get a HUGE bag of clothes for $100, and I always was able to find cute stuff with a little effort. Just something to keep in mind for people on a budget with kids that grow quickly.
I love this feature!! I thought I was the only one who knew about how great Walmart is for clothes shopping! I used to buy these great tank tops (I have one on now) from Faded Glory, but now I can’t find them and I’m so disappointed! I used them for the gym, under my cardigan sweaters at work, for everything, and they were only $3! I can’t find them anywhere, so if any of your readers can help me out, that would be great!
My husband wears 13 size shoes. And it’s only for NB sneakers. All other shoes are too tight. We were looking for black sneakers for work and found in Walmart. They are excellent. Great quality and very comfortable. And they fit perfect
I have the shoes Michelle is wearing and I LOVE them!
That’s great to hear! I just ordered some – and they were available in a nearby store for free pickup. I have been looking for some like this and these are just as cute as the expensive brands. Can’t beat that price! I’m excited to get them1
I was in Walmart this morning and noticed a long sleeve top sorta like the one Michelle has on. It had one ruffle at at the shoulder area and came in many color varieties. The rack was marked down to $3 each clearance price. Sizes were Small thru 3X. I plan to pair them with a short sleeve T Shirt for a walk around the house attire. Just enough arm coverage to keep me warm versus wearing sweatshirts.

Yess thank you! I love this!
I work at Nordstrom & wear walmart pants or sometimes undershirts with higher end clothes & accessories & sometimes even walmart accessories and no one, no one can tell.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BRINGING THE WAL*MART WEDNESDAY back! I enjoy it. Our small town has one Wal*mart & Target. I like shopping at Walmart, since it is practically a one stop shop. I purchased the blue cardigan & red heart t shirt Collin is wearing and LOVE them. I appreciate your reviews. I am scared to try the Time & Tru jeggings. Their jeans are ill fitting for my body type, so I would think the leggings would not fit well either.
I love the painting in the background (it looks like flowers) in your first picture and in the last picture – I believe. Would you tell me if this is an original work or if you purchased it somewhere? Also – thank you so much for these great shopping ideas! Walmart and you ladies rock!
