It does say on the coupon once printed, “one coupon per purchase” so you can’t use two in one transaction.

    • JP

“One per purchase” doesn’t mean the same as “one per transaction”. Each item in a transaction is considered a separate purchase.

      • Lisa

JP, I’ve had store clerks tell me the same thing as Traci said… drives me bananas! Agree with you.

        • Evan

Store clerks, like to play god.

  2. ChicagoMom

    Thank you printed mine!!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay! You’re welcome!

  3. ChicagoMom

Printed my coupons, off to Walgreens. Thank you!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Woohoo! You’re so welcome! Happy shopping!

  4. Lori Stevens

Couldn’t you get 3 free bags if you used 2 printed coupons plus the digital coupon?

    • Juma

Thanks Lori I was wondering the same thing. This is one of my favorite brands of chocolate. Thanks for posting.

    • Sophie

I believe you can. Thanks for mentioning the coupon.

    • Diane

      I don’t know if you can? – since it’s 2 for $2?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

YES! Thanks for asking! We have updated the post!

  5. k

Kroger also has this coupon on their digital coupons. I just got a small bag for free

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing, K! Good to know!

    • Chelle

Thanks! I got it too. 🙂

    • Cheri

Where did you find the small bags at Kroger? I looked for them today and couldn’t find them.

  6. yw

My local walgreens said they are no longer accept printed B/W coupon. Any one same?

    • Susan K.

It’s been that way at my Walgreen’s for about a year. No printed coupons accepted.

    • Diane

There is one near me that does not accept them, but others do. Maybe try another Walgreens if it is not too much of a drive? Good luck!

    • Chelle

I had a problem one time. As long as the coupons have different numbers, they accept them. Meaning I can not just copy one coupon.

    • SMB

Yep the cashier last time told me he was glad I printed mine in color- they aren’t allowed to take black and white printed ones anymore.

    • Garfield

My target does the same thing.

  7. Mama

    Same price at Publix

    • Tia in FL

Thanks for that. Much easier to use coupons there.

  8. Judy Trac @ Lipscomb

Cashiers make up their own definition of one per purchase vs one per transactions. So many cashiers tell me that means the same thing except manufacturers tried to word it differently but “they mean the same thing” …… is similar the same meaning as same? Lol do they mean the same definition except worded differently hahahaha

Cashiers will say anything to prevent u from using coupons and when u say okay let’s divide my purchases into separate transaction. They then give u a sigh and eye rolls then call the manager out on u saying “you’re holding up the line when u make mutilple transactions and only one transaction per customer a day! What!!??!?

    • Ceecee

@judy- that’s why I try to have a coupon in my coupon holder that has both terms (usually P&G coupons have multiple terms on them- like 1 per purchase and 2 per transaction- so that proves it’s different)… I think a lot of the problem is just lack of training- the stores don’t really seem to train the employees very well beyond typing their # in and scanning…. I’ve met newbies that I’ve explained things to at target and Walgreens (eg having to be on the first screen to scan in coupons, not the pmt screen; or one employee told me he even threw away coupons after scanning them his first week bc he didn’t know Walgreens sent them in to get reimbursed! …And I’ve never worked at any of these places)- ive even had some of the newbies thank me and comment, “wow! You know more than I do!”… which I shouldn’t lol… I also think with the lack of training they get nervous about coupons bc they aren’t trained and don’t want to get in trouble if they mess up… another problem at Walgreens is if they don’t scan each item in individually (eg you have 4 of the same item and they scan in one and enter in the computer that you have 4, for some reason, the software counts those 4 items as 1, so if you have more than 1 coupon, it beeps; but if they scan each one, they’re counted as 4 items- so if you have more than one coupon they’ll go through- granted it’s not beyond the limits)… then of course there are managers who don’t understand coupons/coupon policy🙄

  9. Karlean

My Walgreens is telling me since the coupon is for $1.00 that the item has to be more than $1.00

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

So odd, as their policy states – “Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item”. The coupon does not exceed the sale price. Maybe try speaking with your store manager OR head to another nearby Walgreens, if possible. Hope that helps!

  10. Ann Stokman

    Love it!

  11. Cheryl

My Walgreens would not accept two printed coupons. But I was able to use one paper and one digital so got two.

  12. Vivian

I never do Walgreens deals anymore. The coupon policy is up to unpredictable cashiers and management

  13. MrsA

Does Walmart also have these small bags for $1?

  14. Lisa

I don’t always do the survey at the end — particularly as it comes to Walgreens because they can be finicky — but I am doing mine today from Wags — the cashier actually scanned the 2 that I printed and the 1 digital with no issues (a rarity for my Wags).

  15. Momto2

Yes. It can be exhausting to coupon at Walgreens. I have been having trouble getting RR to print this week.
I also get tired of explaining to the managers about spending/earning points in the same transaction. Wish they would train their employees!

  16. Sid

Walgreens shoppers help, I cannot see the ad page of it. It a deal or a usual price.

    • MrsA

I think they are $1.19 each or 2 for $2.

  17. Chelle

Bummer…it doesn’t allow you to print more than 2 coupons from coupons.com. I tried! lol
But I’ll get the 3 free bags.
    Thank you!

    • KSK

Coupons.com typically only lets you print two but if you have another device or computer, you can print two more 🙂

    • marie

The third free bag comes from downloading the digital coupon from the Walgreens app

  18. Kim

Target has this coupon on their app, too, and in store for $1. Also coupons.com has the coupon.

  19. Amanda Moore

I believe CVS Pharmacy also has these for $1

  20. KSK

Anyone know how many candies come on the mini bag?

    • Lo

      2

    • Amanda Moore

I think it’s two or three

  21. Tami H

I love that there are 41 comments to this deal. What could be more appealing to a Hip2Saver than free chocolate??!!

    • Haseena

Lol that’s exactly why I clicked to read the comments.

  22. Shannabiss

    Worked for me! 🙂

  23. Amanda

I did this deal last night at Walgreens and I had her scan the three bags and it loaded my digital coupon but the computer would only take one of the printed coupons (she scanned them both). So, we voided the transaction, I did two and that worked and then I asked her manager to price match the third bag down to one dollar since I was clearly buying more than two. He did and I was able to use my third coupon. But I probably wouldn’t try to do that again as it was a hassle and I was nervous since it did say once per on the coupon (I interpreted it to mean once per transaction even though I see you’re saying once per item).

    • Steph

And that is exactly why I never shop at Walgreens anymore. Coupon misery and terrible rewards program now.

  24. Meghan

Yay! Thanks for posting this – my Husband will surely enjoy free chocolate for Valentine’s Day! Also, a special thanks to Lindt for offering this coupon for the second year in a row around this time of year. 🙂

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re very welcome Meghan! 🙂

  25. Garfield

How does Walgreens sale works? Can I buy odd number if something is on sale 2 for $3 and still pay $1.50? Or do I have to buy 2 to get that price?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! You should be able to grab the third item at the sale price!

  26. Sarah Jones

thanks! I got 2 at Walgreens and 2 at Target. Used the cartwheel and walgreens coupon as well from the app.

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yay! Glad you could snag a few different deals to stock up Sarah!

  27. sheila

I haven’t visited Walgreen for years due to their unfriendly coupon policy and staff.

  28. Tiggy

My Walgreen’s was already sold out on those!

  29. Tina9222

OMG!!! Cvs gave me tons of coupons from red magic coupon dispenser, plus 1 print and 1 on app for their big bags,I paid &1 each!!! The coconut one is sooo yummy.

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yay! Glad you were able to score a few bags!

  30. Wendi Nickel

    Coupon already gone.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Bummer! Thanks for letting us know!
