Last trip to CVS to try use some coupon on another item, and was told that coupon wouldn’t work on clearance items.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! Were you able to speak to a manager?

    • Jamia

If they say this in the future, ask them to just try to see if it scans okay? I used a Right Guard coupon on a variety that was marked down on clearance recently and it scanned fine.

By the way, you can go to https://www.cvs.com/shop/carol-s-daughter-almond-cookie-oatmeal-bar-soap-prodid-1610009?skuid=263670 and click find in store with your zip to see if they have it in stock. It won’t show the in-store price, but at least you know if there is a chance of it being available before you go. Unfortunately, it’s not sold at or is out of stock at all the locations near me.

The last time I went to CVS they told me I couldn’t use coupons period. I called corporate and they said it was at the managers discretion on whether he wants to accept coupons or not. I haven’t been back since

    • Daniela

If you add coupons from the app, their own app, they shouldn’t have a problem? What a stupid manager.

    • irene

That’s pretty ridiculous since the red machine spits out CVS coupons! Take your money to another CVS.

  3. Geet

Coupon can be use at target as original price is $2.97 😍

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh cool! Thanks for the suggestion!

    • Kandyce

Thanks Geet! My Targets are usually coupon friendly so I’ll try it there.

I agree that it is getting harder and harder to use coupons at different places. Thankfully I have one good cashier left between the 3 CVS stores near me. After he leaves, I’m close to done shopping there!

  5. Mallory

This coupon is also in the CVS app!

Thank you Hip2Save team. I was able to get this at my cvs and i used the digital coupon at cvs. com too!!

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re most welcome, jean!

Up to manager’s discretion, that is ridiculousness. CVSs are getting worse and worse. I have some ECB that I hope to use up on Valentine’s clearance next week, then I can be done with them.

  8. Bryant

Am I looking at this right? It’s one bar of soap that originally sold for nearly $7! Without the coupon, I’d even laugh at the clearance price. I cringe at the idea of paying more than .75 for one bar of soap. Thanks for posting this deal.

Which aisle are these in? Thanks!
