Yay! You’re so welcome! I hope you love it!

I have 2 pressure cookers, this one and the Insignia one from Best Buy ($29.99 on sale). They are nearly identical. The Insignia one has a manual button but the Crockpot one has a yogurt button. If the yogurt button is not important to you, I say wait until the Insignia one goes on sale, which happens often, and get that one. I love them both and happenned to get them both for $29.99.

I’m interested in purchasing a pressure cooker but I’m unsure of what size to get. Would this size be good for a family of three adults and two toddlers?

    • ldtindc

I would suggest the 8 quart.

Is this the same product/competitor to the instapot? I’m on the fence about leaving my crockpot for these pressure cookers. Any suggestions/encouragement lol?

    • ldtindc

Yes. The difference is that the Instant Pot has a stainless steel inner pot. Otherwise, I think they are pretty similar.

Please disregard other post. For some reason posted that and not my intended comment.

Just purchased this. Can I just use insta pot recipes? Wondering if this model is different. I want to make hard boiled eggs and hoping to hear of other good recipes. Thanks!

    • ldtindc

      Yes, you can.

I love my 6 quart instant pot. It’s plenty big enough for my family of 4. I make hard boiled eggs once a week in it, and they come out perfect. Some of my favorite things to cook in mine are meatloaf, roast, carnitas, corn on the cob, pinto beans, and soups. It stays on my counter because I use it so much. I find most of my recipes on Pinterest, or Facebook where I follow instant pot community and rootitoot instant pot. I am here debating on buying another one at this great price. Thanks hip2save for all that you do to help us save money!

You’re so welcome Becca! And thank you for sharing your experience with the Instant Pot and what to cook with it! I just finally picked one up a few weeks ago and so far my husband’s favorite is using for baked potatoes! LOL!
