This is such a great deal. I joined a few weeks ago. Use the referral below and you’ll also receive a $20 Sam’s e-gift card!!

    • Confused

Do you get $45 off AND a $20 gift card?

    • Jennifer Grover

My membership expired in Oct 2018. Does anyone know if I can take advantage of this deal? I’ve tried to read the fine print and dont’ see anything, but last time I tried a deal at Sams. I was told I was a renewal, not a new membership because I had held one in the past

      • Kathy

I don’t think so, I think it has to be expired 6 months. However, if you had an associate card in someone else’s name (husband, daughter, etc), they are eligible for the promo even if it has not been six months since the membership was yours, not theirs – I should say this is how it usually is w/ their “new member” promos, since I have not actually done this specific promo.

      • sarahswartzepperson

I was wondering the same thing. We let ours expire so we could switch to Costco…. guess who misses Sams??? This girl. 🙁 🙁 🙁 Not a fan of Costco, too expensive!

  2. Lindsey

Darn it wish this was Costco!!! 🤪

    • Manuela

      Me too!! 😃😃

      • Mary

        Me three!!

  3. The Deal

Has anyone found any Costco membership deals? Thanks

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

We’ll be sure to post if any pop up!

  4. Jamie

Seriously I love sams club so much. I love the scan and go and I love how friendly everyone is. I love their selection and how they don’t move stuff around all the time so it’s easy to run in for one thing

  5. Kristen

I would be so appreciative if someone uses my link. I just signed up and Scan & Go is my new favorite thing! It’s so easy and you can be in and out so fast!! I wish Costco would do something like it!

Check if your employer has employee discount programs that offer discount for Sams Club. I was about to do this deal until a friend mentioned our employee discount and I was able to get the standard membership for $25!! I saved $20 and also got a $5 e-gift card!

    • Confused

How is that better than free?

  7. Angela

Did anyone have any trouble with the $45 being loaded to their card after you joined?

    • Kristen

Nope, mine came right off! 🙂

    • Rebecca

Mine was available right away but you can’t use it with any products with “offers”, $ off at checkout. As soon as I took that product off, it applied. I did the scan & go.

    • andreahss

yes! I did. They told me to wait 48 to 72 hours for the $45 to be credited on my account, so i went back to sams after 72 hours and I tried to make a purchase and the $45 didn’t showed up. So i had to suspend the transaction and head to customer service. They thought I had already use it, I prove them wrong, they didn’t apologize. After almost 1 hours of going back and forth, they honor the $45.

    • acd

Mine hasnt. Its been a week. Ive made 2 online transactions and one large in store.

  8. Ana

Can I upgrade to plus membership later?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Great question! You could always contact customer service to be sure! 1-888-746-7726

    • Constance

Yes, you just pay the prorated difference.

    • Suz OH

Yes! I did this a few weeks ago (same offer). I got the $45 membership through the link, then immediately upgraded to the $100 plus membership. Received an ecard for $5 for that “purchase.” Then used the $45 and the $5 off an online purchase about an hour later. Surprised I did not need to wait 72 hours. Great deal for me as DH had been looking at a large purchase and we saved about $70 in shipping charges, My Plus membership already paid for itself.

If someone has an expired sams club groupon, do you know if that can somehow be applied to this? I know it keeps the value I paid but I don’t know how that works… Asking for myself… Face palm! Actually would be great to see a post about the best way to deal with expired groupons in general. Hate to see those $ wasted because someones plans changed… This is a first for me but I’m sure it happens all the time.

    • Tia in FL

Well, I don’t think it’s the same as money wasted since you never lose the money you spent.

  10. drashti

    not showing up for me

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hmm, I still find the offer listed as I click through. Maybe try again in a different browser. Hoping that helps!

  11. riss

Do I have to go to Sam’s Club and have them put the $45 in to my account? When I signed up last night, there was no place to put the code they sent.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! “Your $45 Instant Savings offer will be loaded onto your new membership account via Instant Savings within 72 hours of membership activation and will be valid for 30 days”. You can always call in to customer service for further details OR if you have any issues – 1-888-746-7726 Hope that helps!

  12. Sonia

There is a Checkout 51 offer for
$10 cash back for a new membership.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing, Sonia! It looks like that offer is not valid with any other discount or offer. Bummer!

  13. Christi

Super confused… I also didn’t see a place to enter my promo code. I called customer service and they said if I don’t see if in the next few days to call back, but not sure why they would give a code and no place to enter it.

  14. meena

i tried many times i can’t click the link says “head here”, can anyone help how to do this

  15. Tadashi

I think it’s SUPER shady that Hip2Save is censoring/removing negative experience comments. We’re not stupid, we know you are getting paid by Sam’s Club to promote their stuff but when the deal goes bad (which, in my experience, was really bad and wasted hours and hours of my life only to end up cancelling the membership) people deserve to know!

I ended up speaking to people via online chat, phone, email, and in the club and never could get this deal to work. I was promised someone would get back to me three different times and no one did. I found the customer service to be awful and will not choose to pursue any kind of Sam’s Club membership in the future.

    • Tadashi

I will admit my error – there are multiple posts on this topic and this wasn’t the one I originally commented on (though I have seen comments removed before).

Truly though, this was a terrible experience and I do warn people to use caution

    • Bryn (Sister Sidekick)

      Hi Tadashi –

I am so sorry you have had so many issues with this offer. We worked with Sam’s Club directly to pass along this offer to you and other readers so I can assure you it is not shady. However, I can totally understand your frustration and want to help make this right for you! Can you please do me a favor and email collin@hip2save.com so we can investigate this further for you? Thanks!

      • tadashi

I’ve already been in contact with Michelle. She can give you more information if needed. Thanks though.

  16. Carrie

When I click the link to sign up, it doesn’t show anything about the $45 instant savings, even though the offer doesn’t expire for a few more days. Will it just show up afterwards even though Sam’s sign up page isn’t promoting it?

  17. Cheryl

This post states the offer is good thru March 8th, today is the 7th and it is not working.
