Can you also use a manufacturer coupon with the Colgate since the 2 off 6 is listed as CVS store coupon?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes you can! Thanks for asking! We have added a Manufacturer Colgate coupon to the deal idea!

  2. mel

Bummer. I didn’t get the $2 off $6 Colgate CRT. Mine was $1 off wyb 3 Colgate or Any Other Brand Toothpaste. You’re missing the $0.50 Colgate coupon from today’s paper in that deal scenario also, making your OOP only $0.24.
I got 2 Colgate & 1 $2.99 Crest. Used 2 $0.50 Colgate q’s, $2 Crest q, $1 crt (I had other items in my transaction so I could use a $6/30 mailer). Was surprised to get a $5 eb for the Colgate! They must have misprinted the Limit in the ad as 1 instead of the usual 2.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the heads up, Mel! The post has been updated!

  3. Krisp

You get the extra bucks even thought the total isn’t $20 in first scenario?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! That is a part of their “98% rule”. In this case you would only need to spend as little as $19.60 to trigger the Extra Bucks! Hope that helps!

      • Krisp

        Great thank you!

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

          You’re very welcome!

      • Christine

Can you tell me where this rule is written, I don’t see it in there coupon policy, I don’t won’t to be in the same situation as above and not get my extra buck because I did not reach the $20….thanks

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Christine! I don’t find this listed in any fine print, however it appears to be an “unwritten rule” and most store registers will trigger the Extra Bucks when at 98% of the threshold total. If this worries you, you could always add another qualifying item or change up your deal idea a bit to be sure to meet the full threshold in order to qualify for your Extra Bucks. Hope that helps!

        • Christine

I did this scenario anyway but they were combined, I had a $10 ECB and a $6 off $30 use it don’t lose it, I loaded the P&G coupons to my card, I did not receive any oral coupons from the red machine and for my filler some candy, I paid OOP $7.57 and received 2 $5 ECB, one for P&G, the other for Colgate, so everything free plus they paid me $2.43 to take it out the store, I love money makers!!!

  4. DeAnn

I love this! there’s no clipping coupons! Before my baby was born, I started stocking up on essentials like laundry detergent, TP, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc. He just turned a year and I have not had to buy laundry detergent since he’s been born!Keep in mind I had room to store all this stuff. I clipped a lot of coupons! This is just amazing

  5. Patty d

    I love this post!! Thanks

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yay! You’re welcome! SO glad you are loving these deals, Patty d! Thanks for the sweet feedback!

  6. Macey

I love this post! However, I followed this scenario to a T, and it says amount towards award $19.81, I’m out needed towards award, $.19! ECB did not print 🙁 I have gotten the 98% in the past.

    • Macey

      *amount

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! SO sorry to hear that, Macey! The 98% usually always applies for me too. 🙁 Thanks a ton for the feedback! We’ll be sure to keep a lookout on future deals like these.

      • Macey

Wow, it randomly showed up in my fact after the trip! I didn’t check immediately, but a day later it is there. Phew! I didn’t want to spend more $$& so yay for the $5 ECB-thanks!

Odd since others got it immediately-who knows, but glad it finally came!

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh good! That’s great to hear, Macey! You’re so welcome! Thanks for the update!

  7. Jessica

My total came up just under the $20 and I did receive the ECB. I also got back $5.00 in ECB for doing the second scenario with the Colgate!

    • Carol

Question – if I do the deal above and use a $5 off of $25 coupon will the deal still work? Even if I buy a few other items it think it might subtract the $5 off among all of the item. I appreciate any suggestions on this.

      • mel

cvs tracks deals PRE-coupon, so it doesn’t matter if you’re using a manuf, store coupon or eb’s as those are considered ‘payment’. Once you hit the required spend amount, your total can be $0 after q’s and still receive the EB.
