Greetings from sunny San Diego!
Some of my team and I are in San Diego for a quick trip but that doesn’t mean we’re skipping our Walmart Wednesday outfits! We each have an apparel piece and some fun jewelry from Walmart.com to keep us stylish on a budget while in this fun and eclectic city. 💃
When picking my outfit for this week, I wanted to make sure that the pieces would be travel-friendly and withstand long days of exploration. I’m loving the stretch on my jeans and the loose-fit of the top, but I wasn’t really thinking about the wrinkle aspect of fabric on my button up. HOWEVER, my teammate Emily came to the rescue with this handy travel steamer that we’ve all be loving for quick touch-ups on our pieces. It worked great to smooth out the folds from being packed in my suitcase!
See that coffee in my hand? Well, I may or may not have spilled a bit on the front of my top. Why does this only happen when wearing white?! Luckily, it was an easy fix with my trusty Clorox Stain Remover Pen.
I have something embarrassing to admit – I hacked off the bottom of my jeans. 😳 I love the look and feel of jeggings, but these were too long and I didn’t like the look of the black fabric on the inside to roll them up as I normally would with denim. As you can see, it wasn’t the most meticulous job. 🤷♀️ Regardless, I wasn’t about to pass up wearing them since they’re the perfect pant to keep me comfortable for a day of walking around town.
Michelle fits right in at this cute cafe we came across when grabbing our morning caffeine, even though she prefers a diet Pepsi over coffee. 😂 She always puts together Walmart outfits that are great on the go and have a fashionable look, even though they’re so budget-friendly. I mean, look at how adorable those ruffle sleeves are on her blouse!
My favorite thing about these Time and Tru pieces is that they’re tried and true. Michelle got those adorable slip-on sneakers for a previous Walmart Wednesday and still wears them regularly! They go with everything and they’re too comfy to pass up for a trip that requires quite a bit of walking.
“I love Walmart jewelry! Most of the items are under $5, and the Time & Tru brand has trendy styles I see elsewhere for lots more. It’s great quality for the price. I have quite a collection of Walmart jewelry and love that it doesn’t break my heart when I lose an earring since I know I only spent $2.88 on the pair. Also, I cannot say enough good things about these jeggings! They are so comfy and stretchy, but thick and shaping for curvy girls” — Michelle
My favorite part about Amber’s Walmart top this week is how versatile it is! When paired with some dark denim and sparkled stud earrings, she looks polished for a day about town. But I could totally see myself picking up this top to wear when hanging out at home since the length of it makes it perfect for wearing with leggings.
“I am a huge fan of stud earrings and love that these are simple but also look way more expensive then the price I paid. In addition, I LOVE this shirt as it’s the perfect business casual or great for just hanging out on Saturday with my family! The fabric is super soft and comfortable, and it’s long enough to wear with leggings when lounging around. Overall, it rocks!” — Amber
Oh, my adorable Lina! She’s visited San Diego before and brought us to the BEST Mexican restaurant for one of our group dinners. I love the look that she chose as it’s vibrant while still being Cali cool. And her necklace looks way more high-end than something you’d find hanging in the jewelry section at Walmart!
“I’m so happy I came across this top at Walmart to bring on the trip! It’s super comfy, has a cute pattern, and can be dressed up or down for the occasion. I think this necklace adds to the overall look to give it a dressier vibe.” — Lina
- Lina’s top is SO cute, but it’s unfortunately no longer available 👎 so we found a cute alternative though with this No Boundaries Printed Tie Top Blouse – $10.88
Emily’s keeping it casual on the streets of Little Italy in this cute knitted hoodie. What’s great about this top is that it works as a light layering piece in spring, summer, and fall! Keep in mind that the large crochet pattern and high-cut sides allow for some show through so it’s probably best pulled over a tank or t-shirt.
Remember those jeans she had on for last week’s Walmart Wednesday? Well, she got crafty and decided to distress the bottom hem to add a little bit of length and give them a trendy look. Don’t worry, she’ll have a DIY post for the process coming soon in case you want to try this out for yourself!
“Not only am I loving this crocheted hoodie, I’m so happy with the customer service from Walmart.com. I bought this hoodie for $9 (which was already a steal), and when I checked back on it for this post, the price had dropped to $3! After a quick (and very efficient live chat) with customer service, they refunded me the $6 difference no problem!” — Emily
- Slinky Poof! Junior’s Waffle Knit Long Sleeve Hoodie – $3
- It’s out of stock online, but you may find it at your local Walmart.
So long, Cali!
We may be wrapping up our trip but we’re always on the hunt for more at Walmart.com.
