Consider trading in awareness for acceptance and appreciation! Use the month of April (and beyond) to find and learn from #actuallyautistic people! They aren’t hard to find (just google that hashtag/term), and they are invaluable resources.

Agreed!!! I want a #Neurodiversity t-shirt instead and a sale on books like “Why Johnny Doesn’t Flap: NT is OK!” so I can donate one to every library and school in the area!

        Yes!!! =)

I am visiting my friend of mine who has an autistic 7 year old son. Can someone please give me suggestions as to what I can gift him? Would love some help. TIA !!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Maclover! I have a son who is autistic. Each child has different things they like and don’t like. For example, if you give one child a figit toy they may love it and another hates the way it feels. I think a good idea is go call the parent and get more specific ideas. Hope this helps!
