Stream Disney’s Entire Movie Library with Disney Plus (Coming November 12th)
Good riddance, Disney Vault! Make way for Disney+!
Spread the news! Disney will soon be releasing Disney Plus (or Disney+) – an online video streaming subscription service that is set to launch November 12th, 2019. This platform is expected to have approximately 7,000 episodes of television series and as many as 500 movies available to subscribers! The cost is rumored to be around $7 per month or $70 for an entire year of streaming.
Disney CEO Bob Iger has reportedly said that Disney Plus will contain “the entire Disney motion picture library” which means that even the studio’s earliest, classic movies like Snow White and Dumbo and current blockbusters like Star Wars and Pixar movies will all be available to stream – with NO waiting or worrying about them going back into the vault!
Even sweeter, new films will arrive on the subscription service within a year of their release to theaters, and Disney Plus will feature exclusive new content including a Marvel show based on Loki, a Star Wars show, and much more!

Yes! Sign me up and take my money!!
I know, right? LOL! They can have mine too!
Dang… They got me with the Loki thing…
Agreed, they are throwing a wide net with this one and I’m swimming right in!
Any idea about price point? I can’t find any info…but I would totally cancel Hulu AND Netflix for this. Haha.
Saying comparable to Netflix, so some articles are suggesting around $12.99.
This sounds amazing! I hope the pricing is affordable for many like Netflix not an actual Disney Vacation;)
Does this mean no more Disney movies/shows on Netflix? (Like previous posts, if I had a choice Iād probably cancel Netflix)
From what I have read, Disney will be pulling all of its content from Netflix!!
Hi there Em! That will be the case eventually yes! Disney released a statement last year saying they would stop providing Netflix with content for films released in 2019 and going forward. That statement is in this press release: https://www.thewaltdisneycompany.com/walt-disney-company-acquire-majority-ownership-bamtech/ Netflix generally gets new Disney content and then removes it after 6 months, so it will all be phased out eventually. Netflix recently cancelled the last of their Marvel original series, too.
That’s why the Marvel/ Netflix shows like Jessica Jones and The Punisher are being cancelled. Which stinks, cause I’ll miss them!
Ooooh yesssss!
What I really want is somewhere to watch the classic cartoons — Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale and Goofy. If those are out there, I’m in bc they are hard to find and my kids and i all love them!
Would they still be available on Google Play? If they end up removing them then what happens to all of your movies purchased? Definitely getting that subscription.
