Succulent plants are one of the easiest plants to take care of as they need very little water and care to survive. They are perfect for people who want plants, but don’t have a lot of time and space. They store their own water in their leaves to help them survive that gives them a fat and waxy look.

Succulents can be kept indoor or outdoors and love the sun! If they are planted outside and are really happy, they will spread fast! Select succulents are great for rock gardens and putting between bricks in retaining walls.

Those are so cute but darn it, I’d still kill them. I can’t grow anything!

I thought the same thing (and it’s probably true!) BUT I just saw these in the store today and they have a tag on it that says β€œI thrive on neglect”…so I might be able to have one…LOL!

      • Liza (Hip Sidekick)

LOL! That’s such a fun tag!

Well that makes me feel worse because my succulents died πŸ™ˆπŸ˜πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚
Lol but I still buy them bc I love em πŸ˜‚

Succulents are pretty resistant! You should give it a try! πŸ™‚

It listed 15 stores in my state and every one of them said out of stock. 😭

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! Hoping they are in stock near you soon!

The key to keeping cacti and succulents alive is to not overwater them. Use a small spray bottle instead of a watering can or cup. My daughter bought me one in the travel health and beauty section at Walmart for $1.

Thanks a ton for the helpful tip! I’ll have to remember that for mine!

  4. Lesli

These are so cute! I was literally just at Lowe’s telling my husband that I want some succulents. I’m going to buy the flower market one!

Are these safe around cats? Mine like to chew everything…

    • Mary Perkins

Some are and some ARE NOT. Check online first because cats do love to chew!
