You can answer if your phone is within Bluetooth range! However,if you get the Apple Watch that has the cellular option you can without having the phone nearby…and it is a small fee per month!
Yes! I have the series 1 without cellular and I can answer as long as my phone is within range. I love it! My favorite feature is the “find my phone” button. You push a “ring” button on your watch and your phone starts dinging.

Crystal, Most of the time when the Apple Watch is on sale for $199, it’s limited colors like grey and silver aluminum case with the white and black band.
Crystal, I have a silver Apple Watch and I found a rose gold bumper at Target for under $20. I put that on and now it looks rose gold but also protects it! Hope that helps 🙂
They stopped selling the rose gold option after series 1.
