   Thank you so much!! I wanted to purchase the soft roller head as I already have the Dyson V8, but this makes the entire vacuum plus accessories ($159 shipped with sales tax for me) just about the same price as the soft roller head attachment alone ($144)! I will never buy another type of vacuum – these are the best!

   This vacuum seems to be only for hard floors, so I’m assuming it won’t work well on my carpets? I have both floor types and can’t seem to find a vacuum that works well enough on both. Wonder if I should bite the bullet & buy a diff type Dyson, but the price….😬
   Any recommendations? Thanks!

  I’m a huge fan of my Shark. I got the Apex DuoClean (which has a soft brush and a regular one to pick up any mess) with Zero-M (which keeps hair from getting wrapped around the brush roll – which is super important to me because I shed a lot lol). It was not cheap but it’s the cleanest my floors have ever felt and it helps immensely with my allergies (both my husband and I are the ‘allergic to everything outdoors’ types). I did a lot of research and it just seemed like Dysons had mixed reviews for any large carpet areas (which we have) so I settled on the Shark. I have used Dysons before (I think the ball multifloor 2) and loved it on hardwood and with the attachments to clean the ceilings/moldings, but kept reading it was too much suction for most carpets. HTH!

  I don’t think the fluffy head works well on carpet. I have a cordless dyson (don’t remember the model number) that came with both the fluffy and regular motorized heads – you just change the head for the job. The non-fluffy one gets WAY more out of the few rugs that we have. We have a dog, so it makes a big difference. I got mine on ebay, refurbished, for $180.

   I got one! I have a classic Dyson that I got in 2004 and I love it! Although now that I have hardwood I don’t love how big and heavy it is- so this is perfect! I ordered it today, thank you!!
