We love ours. My boys are 5 and 8. They set their own alarm, check the weather so they know what to wear, play music and do silly dances, set the timer for certain activities, etc.
I can set my kids’ alarms from my dot or phone app and also set reminders for school (remember to bring your library book) or sports (you have practice tonight at 6). I use the app to set a Bible verse for them to remember each month. I set it to play every weekday morning while they are getting ready for school.
I have these in my boy’s room. It is great for playing music at night for them. If I forget to tell it to stop after X hours, then I listen to it when I wake up.
I love being able to drop in on my kids and check on them. We have one in all of the bedrooms, and one in the living room. Though my 2-year old thinks Alexa exists solely to play “baby shark” for him!

We picked this up for this price a month ago, so worth it! Our Freetime Unlimited deal was running out & this comes with a year subscription…much cheaper than paying for it otherwise! Plus you get the Echo of course lol. And you can split it into 5 payments if you want. We’ve enjoyed all the games and music so far (we do have an Amazon music subscription as well).
I’m not familiar with Freetime Unlimited, could you tell me how the games are played and if they are on the Freetime Unlimited platform?
Sorry, if you click on product page, it explains it a little better than I can lol, examples of apps, etc. But you can use the Freetime Unlimited on other devices as well. On the Echo, it has games like choose-your-ending, can read stories, dance parties etc. I bought one of these(regular version, not kids) a couple years ago and sent it back….my kids were younger and didn’t seem like that much we could do. However they are really enjoying it this time (they are 5 & 9). Also you can turn off parental controls if you want to listen to your own music. Hope that helps!!

Does anyone know – if I buy 2 do I need 2 freetime accounts or will they both run on one account? Could I wait to activate the second freetime until the first expires?
Also, we have a tablet with freetime will that account sync with the dot.

Bought these for my grandkids this past Christmas. They love them! They set their own alarms, play music, listen to stories, play games while they clean their rooms. My daughter added our phone numbers so they can call us or text us anytime they want which they love doing every day. You do have to add the Alexa app to your phone for them to be able to cal you. Best gift ever!!
