We actually just broke 2 screens this past month nearing the end of their 2 year warranty, ugh little sisters. But they are super easy to get replaced. Just a quick chat with the service department, send it in, and voila! they have them shipped to your door!

These tablets are great!! I just upgraded my own to a new version after 4 years. My son has the kids bundle we got for him Black Friday 2016. It’s worked great for him, the plug port became loose and the cord wouldn’t stay in to charge. Customer services was amazing. Instead of sending it in they were able to send me a new tablet and a prepaid label to send the other one back. Easy transfer. An inexpensive tablet that works great for my 8 yr old.

These were the BEST purchase ever for my 10 and 5 yr olds last Christmas. We received two year free guarantee and kindle free time. LOVE this deal. We needed to replace my 5 yr olds due to the charging outlet and Amazon delivered a new one within three days and picked up the first one. No charge and it was six months post purchase.

Seriously, the best deal ever that we purchased for our two youngest, 6 and 11. This is a great price!

Does the FreeTime subscription start at time of purchase? Or after you register it? If I buy for a gift for next month, I’d hate for recipient to lose a month.

      When u register

We’ve had our since August 2017. I think I’ve had each of them replaced at least three times. The charging port on them is weak. My kids play with them plugged in a lot so eventually I have to have them changed put because they won’t charge anymore. Pretty easy exchange. After the two years, I will buy more. And the case it comes with works great. We’ve never broken the glass.

The charging port on the Fire 7 is just awful! We have had to send in all three of our Fires at least once (two of them twice) because the ports become so loose they won’t charge anymore. It’s a design flaw and there must be thousands of forum posts about it – I don’t think I’d buy anything but the kids version so at least I’d have a 2 year warranty on it. We now use magnetic chargers to lower the number of times we have to pull something in and out of the charging port, but it’s an added expense that shouldn’t be necessary.

There is an Amazon Fire HD 10 now. 8 was previous to that. It is pretty old and that is why it is on sale. Typically when technology ages, it sells real cheap. I’d recommend atleast the 8 version.

Forgot to mention, it’s a Kids version Fire, “Amazon Fire Kids HD 10.”

This is true, but we have three Fire 7s and they’re still quite capable of handling all of the Freetime content available.

Will the price on Prime day better?

So little rant… I bought one for my son a couple years ago for Christmas and one for my daughter this year. I got my daughters from QVC I think for about this price. My sons free time was about to expire this Christmas because it was only good for a year. When I purchased my daughters tablet hers came with free time and thus her new free time was transferred to my sons too. It is literally cheaper for me to purchase a new tablet EVERY year for around $60 then to purchase a year of free time… what the hell?! I like a good deal but I don’t love the consumerism of that. Did anyone else notice this? With prime it would cost $83 a year for free time vs $60 a year for a new tablet.
