At my store the shelf price was $2.99 and they rang up as $1.50 and the $2 coupon came off, too! Been a while since I had a money maker!

My Target store would not scan my coupon for the $5 gift card! and my total was over $20. They said you can either use the manufacturers coupons or scan the coupon for the $5 gift card but not both. Were they correct or just giving me a hard time? can anyone help clear this up for me? Thanks!

They’re just making it up. You can use manufacturer coupons with giftcard deals (as per target corporate policy). If they give you a hard time/say that next time, I would just buy the items, get the giftcard and then stop back at the customer service desk and say something like, “omg! I had a blonde moment. I forgot to use my coupons.” Then hand them your receipt and coupons…. if they don’t want to refund you the coupons go to a different target store nearby and tell them you forgot your coupons (within 48 hours) … or them say, “we’ll I guess I will be returning these and contacting corporate” … then contact corporate customer service or even target social media and tell them what happened and that you returned the items because the store refused to follow their coupon/store policy (the coupons are like cash to stores, so they won’t be happy the bottom line is being effected)- having the receipts with the purchases and returns shows your intentions and actions of purchasing and returning
