Kids shoes need good support so there feet want be messed up as adults. Remember you get what you pay for. I wear kids shoes and people tell me you can get any shoe for cheap. My saying is quality vs price.

    Any suggestions for boys? 🙂

  3. Liz

My kids don’t keep the shoes on long enough to worry about support so I appreciate good finds like these! Thank you!!

      You’re welcome, Liz!

Having five boys, I was disappointed that these were all suggestions for girls.

    • Armywife621

Same here; I was hoping for suggestions for cheap shoes for my toddler boy to wear in the backyard that I don’t have to worry about getting muddy.

      • Armywife621

Maybe update the title of the post to Girls instead of Kids? It is a bit misleading

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for taking a moment to comment! I have updated the post title!

Not to be picky but maybe you could also add the word “toddler.”

I’ve beeen having the hardest time finding shoes for my 9.5yo daughter. She’s already hovering between a kids size and an adult size. It seems like most cute shoes top out at a size 5, which is too small. I also struggle to find ones that are reasonably priced that hold up and clean up well. Sneakers are easy (probably because she doesn’t wear them often) but the casual ones that she wears to school daily with her uniform skirts are tough. Her school doesn’t have requirements for shoes (except closed toe and no high heels). Since it’s one of the few areas she has any control over she balks at boring uniform shoes (and I can’t blame her). Any suggestions??

Kidshoes.com i think its called. Or even better kidizen, swap.com or zulily

Same thought, there are so many options for girls but it’s always limited for boys…and it’s the same scenario at every store. Not fair.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! We’ll be sure to keep a lookout for more sales on boys’ shoes. In the meantime, you can browse the BOGO sale on them from Target over HERE. Hope that helps!

      • Melissa Rice

Thanks Amber. It’s not your fault. It’s much harder to find boys stuff in general!

        • Marie

Agree!! Ive ALWAYS had that problem with my son hes 9 yrs old now and it seems like i have to buy name brand most of the time or maybe old navy if they have a nice style at a good price !

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome! I know what you mean! I have a son and a daughter! We always have a harder time grabbing items for my son! Especially shoes!

Does anyone know where I can find flip flops without the back strap around the ankle for my size 12 daughter? She doesn’t like that strap around the back and wants regular flip flops like her older cousins, but 12 apparently is still considered a toddler size and those ones all have the back strap. I was hoping to pick up a couple of pairs for her with this sale but I don’t think I can.

    • E

Havaianas has them I believe. I have a pair that are 10/11 without a back strap. We have gotten them at Marshall’s and Zulily before.

    • MommySpendsLess

Could you just carefully cut off the back strap?

      • Kalynn

I thought about that, but I noticed the top straps are set differently on the flip flops with the back strap then without. The regular flip flop straps sort of tuck under the foot more, and the toddler version, they don’t curve under. Not sure if it would make a big difference in how they feel or them staying in place, but I did think this very thing earlier today and that’s when I noticed that.

        • Jess

I have found some at old navy in size 11/12 with no back strap

          • Kalynn

Thank you, Jess! We don’t have an Old Navy that is too close, so I’ll either keep my eyes peeled for free shipping or make the trip someday. Thanks!

            • Sarah

My daughter has a pair of OP in toddler 9 from i think Wal-Mart? Download Bixby app and you just point at anything and it pulls up results related to product ect.
