Looked at some of the water filters and you have to change the filter way to often. Some are every 2 months, very costly. $$$🙁
Not really. You just have to figure out what you pay for water, how often and does the Brita benefit you. For us, yes. I was buying 2 cases of bottled water a wk til I got a Brita. The cost of the refill is much less than forking down triple the amount on bottled water for the same time frame. If you sign up for Brita, they send out coupons. I try to pair with a sale and/or CW offer @ Target or get from Bed Bath & Beyond and use a 20% coupon.
I buy the filters at Costco $33 for 10 of them, when they have the promotion.

Be aware that since it filters as you pour, filling a glass or water bottle can take (much, in some cases) longer than what you might anticipate.
