I refuse to go to Applebees anymore. They always get the order wrong and won’t fix it without you paying for it. I ordered an oriental salad which came with chicken. The waitress asked me if I wanted my chicken grilled or breaded and I ordered a soup. My girlfriend ordered a sandwich and a salad. The order came with a plate with a soup and a sandwich cut in half. I got my soup cause she ordered a salad. Then she brought out the salad and told me that the other sandwich was mine. I argued but didn’t win the fight. It was a good sandwich but not what I was craving. Even with free gift cards from surveys I won’t be going back. They closed one of the applebees and I am waiting for them to close this one too.
In these types of situations, it’s always best to ask for a manager.
It’s very akward to ask for a manager if one doesn’t touch the table first.
What?
A manager is supposed to greet (touch) every table during your visit. There for, if something is wrong, you are now farmiliar with them and you can address a problem easier.
Our Applebee’s is awful as well. The entire place!! The only good server they have had in the last five years left over a year ago. Also, their mixed drinks are so weak!
I agree about their mixed drinks being weak. I don’t even drink, but was observing drink after drink being made at the bar and the glass is mostly filled with ice.
It was one waitress, why abandon the whole restaurant? Lol
I have never had a problem with Applebees…I agree with Lucy, it is best to ask for their manager.
We live close to Applebee’s and we never go there. It’s the worst place!
Its pretty kid friendly n with 3, its a quick easy way to get out of cooking without having pizza….lol
Ill eat anything as long as i don’t have to cook it, lol
All pretty friendly n helpful here, definitely always steady busy place, not quite but friendly
Our local Applebee’s is terrible. We sat down and waited 10 minutes for our server. Ordered ice teas and water. Another 15 minutes goes by. Finally order our meal which never came. An hour into our visit I said I was leaving and asked for a manager.
That took 18 minutes. He came over and apologized and offer to send me a gift card via email. Can you guess what happened? IT NEVER CAME!! Never going back, ever!
Christine- the Applebee’s around here are usually quite good… but ive had a horrible experience elsewhere …. I was trekking in South America and went to a restaurant, put in my order and started responding to emails… after more time than was necessary for my order, I looked up and a large group that came in about 10 minutes after I ordered, they (and smaller groups that came in after me- about 20 ppl total) had all their food and drinks! I flagged down a waiter and asked the status of my order. The waiter went to the kitchen and then asked, “what did you order again?” Of course it was obvi lost or never put in (despite the waiter writing it down)- so they put it in again… then after I got my order, none of the waiters would even look at me (and I hadn’t gotten angry or acted any sort of way- I was very polite when they messed up- mistakes happen)- no one brought me a bill or asked me anything (in addition to complete total avoidance of looking at me),even after I put my plate to the side- I started speaking with the ppl at the table next to me about 10 minutes after I finished my meal about how weird the whole thing was and how all the waiters would make sure not to look at me any time they came by (like I was some demon ghost)- literally the strangest dining experience ever- it became a running joke as waiters passed by in between us discussing trekking and sharing tips…. the table I was speaking with got their food and drinks and they said, “well I guess if they don’t bring your bill by the time we leave, just walk out with us.” I actually decided to do just that, but paused on the way out to tell another single girl who had come in good luck with getting any food as I had been given basically no service at all… then as I walked out the door and down the street, I was no longer a ghost! My waiter suddenly appeared and said I hadn’t paid, so I went back in to pay and of course at this point wasn’t very happy about everything and asked to speak with a manager while paying- I told him the entire story and he asked the waiter if it was true;the waiter admitted it was true and the manager apologized and refunded my money….
Dunkin’ Donuts is offering $1 medium hot or iced coffee to DD perks rewards members on tax day.
Oh awesome! Great find, Chrissy! Thanks for the heads up!
Something seems to be wrong with employees , I think most of them are unhappy, because I’ve tried 3 different ones and each has left a bitter taste. Now Chik-Fil-A is fast & friendly!
