More Walmart

Erica wearing adorable Walmart Dress

Oh, wonderful Walmart!

It’s hump day 🐫, which means it’s time for another Walmart Wednesday post! I thought it would be fun to focus on dresses this week with spring in the air and summer on the way! How adorable does Erica look in her dress above?! 😍

I personally rarely wear dresses – like hardly ever 😬 (but I may start wearing them more often as I forgot how easy they are to throw on and how comfortable they are to wear!).

Collin wearing dress from Walmart Textile line

I have been curious to try Walmart’s higher-end Textile brand to see if it was worth the hype, so when I came across this Meg Tiered Ruffled Sleeveless Dress, I decided to splurge and step out of my comfort zone with the floral print and vibrant colors.

Doesn’t the style remind you of Anthropologie? But, talk about sticker shock! 😱 The price tag on this dress is a whopping $48, so it’s definitely not something you’d normally expect from Walmart. However, I really wanted to give it a try and see how this pricier Textile brand compares to other name brands.

I was actually more impressed then I thought I would be, and it did remind me of the quality and style from Anthropologie. I also feel like this dress could end up being a great value if it goes on Rollback or even clearance in the coming months. I liked the comfortable fit and it was fun to wear – and this is coming from someone who truly hardly ever wears dresses!

Time & Tru Sandals at Walmart

Spring calls for sandals! When I spotted these Time and Tru Footbed Slides, I knew they were going straight into my cart. I just love, love, LOVE these! 😍 The fit, the style – EVERYTHING! They remind me of the much more expensive Birkenstocks, but for a fraction of the cost. Did I mention that they’re UNDER $15?!

And, you can never have enough cardigans! They’re so versatile and add a finishing touch to any outfit – and this affordable Time and Tru Tape Yarn Cardigan did not disappoint! It’s made from a lightweight open-stitch fabric and can easily be dressed up or down, making it a great option for those cool spring nights!

Erica’s Look

Erica Wearing Adorable Dress from Walmart

How amazing does Erica look in this No Boundaries Juniors’ Yummy Swing Dress?! ❤️ Because of her petite frame, she can shop in the Juniors department, and she looks amazing in just about anything! This Swing Dress is perfect for her warm Florida climate, and you can’t beat the price either – UNDER $10!

“This dress screams spring and is SUPER soft and flowy! It’s such a great way to bring in comfort and cuteness at the same time!”

Erica wearing Time and Tru Women's Shandle Sandal

The gladiator style sandals Erica is wearing are from Time and Tru – a Walmart brand we all love here at Hip2Save! 😍 They’re even made from genuine leather with a padded cushion, so they’re super comfy! Even better? They’re very affordable too – all you need is $10 to bring these sandals home!

Erica carrying the Time and Tru Norah Crossbody

This large Time and Tru Norah Crossbody purse is so fun, and I think it looks so similar to these Vera Bradley crossbody purses, but for much less! 🙌🏻 This purse would be great for traveling and I love all the pockets!

“I’m loving this pale pink purse I got to match… its the perfect size to fit some necessities and the color is so pretty (it actually comes in four different colors)!”

Time and Tru Sneakers

By the way, we spotted our fave Time and Tru Canvas Sneakers in stock for just under $10 at our local Walmart with NEW spring colors (in-store only)!

Those dresses would be cute with the canvas sneakers in the post also! Looking great ladies!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

YES, I love that idea for a casual and comfy look! 🤗 Those shoes are the best – love ’em!

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      Thank you Shannon! ❤️

  2. Amy

I love the canvas sneakers. They are so comfortable and I have received a lot of compliments.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I totally agree – and I can’t believe they are under $10, especially when you compare to similar styles!

  3. Mona

The dresses look gorgeous on you guys. I am a blue jeans sort of gal and never wear dresses but if I did I would be looking at Walmart. Some of their children’s clothes are also very nice.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks Mona! 🤗

  4. Jen

I love the look of footbed sandals but I never buy them because of the materials used on the “bed” of the sandals. My feet sweat a lot and for sure after a wear or two these will have a black stain/spot on them. 😓

  5. Casey Meyers

Has anyone bought any clothes since they switched to the Time and True brand? What is the quality like and how long did it las? I know Walmart has been getting a lot better quality clothing but I am still a little skeptic.

    • Nicole

I love my Time and Tru shorts and bermudas! Bought them last summer and have held up great to washes. I’m going to purchase more this summer😁

      • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Awesome to hear! I actually have some shorts I got last year that I love still too! Nice to know that they hold up well!

  6. Chicagomom

The dresses are super cute, I wish the floral one was a shorter length. The white gladiator shoes are really cute. I’ll have to put Walmart on my list of stores to stop at this week! Thank you girls!!

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      You’re so welcome! ❤️

  7. Olgraygirl

Love the footbed sandals and crossbody purse–excellent shopping again, ladies!

  8. Renee

I’ll have to check out the shoes! I never think of that section. I’ve been impressed with the kids clothes. My boys love their new swimsuits. I love the solid color rash guards that actually go with the swim trucks they have available! And so affordable.

    • Jbahr

I forgot my 17 year old’s swimsuit at home on our spring break trip (he does pack his own suitcase, but I take care of the swim bag). I ran to Walmart and was super impressed with selection and loved the suit I got for him. I do love Target, but when shopping for swimsuits before we left I was not impressed with what they had for men.

  9. Kristy

You look cute in dresses Colin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thank you! ❤

  10. Kristy

    Is that a golden doodle?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Kristy! She is a Labradoodle!

  11. Sue

Wow those dresses look really great on you two. Very pretty too. I didn’t realize Walmart sold clothes like that. Last time I ever shopped there for clothes was years ago.

  12. Ann Stokman

    Love the style!!!!

  13. hipsaver2

Both of you look so pretty in the dresses! I rarely wear dresses either. But, I think that 2nd dress would be great for a Summer event without spending a lot of money, because I don’t wear dresses very often.

  14. Corina

Thank you for the outfit idea, again. I just bought the dress, cardigan and shoes.

  15. J

Wal-Mart has pulled all the Textile clothes from their site. I had found them randomly, but thought the price point was dramatically too high for both the store and the quality. I had bookmarked them to see if they would go on sale, and instead, every item is now unavailable. That was fast.
