They are awesome.
Their beer prices are awesome too. My husband is a bit of a beer snob and as liked most of the labels there (most under $6 a 6 pack)

I love Aldi, but it is such a hassle to shop there. They are always packed no matter what time of the day it is and they are always out of a LOT of things. I hate having to shop at multiple stores, but I like to save money. I can’t win. Lol
The trick to Aldi shopping is to go on a weekday, around 2:30-3:00 p.m. Kids are getting out of school or camp, so none of the moms are shopping then. (Of course, this works for me only because my kids are grown!)
I go right when they open at 8am and they are usually never busy.. especially Monday mornings.
Ours doesn’t open until 10 a.m., which strikes me as odd!

I tried the cranberry almond chicken salad based on general comments here on the site. I really liked it. It will be a definite go to for this summer when it feels too hot to cook.

The cranberry almond is delicious. Last year one of their seasonal chicken salad flavors, bacon and ranch, was totally disgusting. My husband couldn’t even eat it – and he eats anything!
corn on the cob is on sale 8/$1 at meijers this week. some of the other types of chip at Aldi’s are .59cents a bag I just got the wavy ones Sunday. Like someone said my store is also very crowded and only have 2-3 lines open. Not all items are the best deal. Check ads for better fresh item prices.

I’m so lucky to have my Aldi be relatively close to a different (slightly snobby) grocery store that most locals near me prefer to shop at. Works well for me! I love Aldi and can find such great deals and meats are marked down almost daily. I go during the week which I think helps with the busyness factor and almost everything is always stocked.

IMO they don’t stay fresh as long as other store bought breads just my opinion

Breads and rolls are usually fresh just check the dates same as in in other grocery stores.
Re Aldi being crowded, get there when it opens. Always the best time of the day at all the stores around here (Maryland)

Prices are regional…strawberries in my Aldi’s are $1.19 (!), but corn was $3.49 for a 4-pack.
My store had strawberries for $.99, not sure about the corn. But our rolls and buns are still $.85 which is the normal price (reason I know is I have to buy 200 for a neighnorhood cookout).
