Thanks! I also have $5 pending from Dosh for purchasing my membership as my debit card is on file when I make purchases where cash back can be received.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Oh awesome! You’re welcome, R!

I wish we could get incentives like this when we re-up our membership. 🙁

    • Andrea

      Man, no kidding!!

    • Tracy

What I do is just sign up when it’s renewal time with a different email address..then you get all of the perks of a new membership. Have done this for the last three years and will do it again this year.

      • Andrea

Using your same name and mailing address? Just changing your email address? :0

        • Tracy

Yep I keep all the information the same except my email address and it sees me as a new member and gives me all the freebies.

      • Jen

Ughhh…I am at the point where I have exhausted all of my household email addresses. I occasionally place online orders, so I can’t simply make a new email and forget about it. I am just going to pay the full membership price this year to save me the hassle of keeping up with another email.

        • Shan

Call SAMS club and have them release the old e-mails you used. Then you are able to sign up again with that e-mail. It’s really easy.

        • Amy

We just switch my husband and I emails back and forth each year. After a year, the other one of us is eligible as a new member again.

When is Sam’s going to have another Instant Savings Book/Sale for all members? I wish we were closer to a Costco, they have one going on all the time. Sam’s has lots of weeks in between theirs.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

We’ll be sure to keep a lookout!

    • R

I received a Sams club booklet today in the mail.

      • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

        Thanks, R!

I’m curious if Costco or Sam’s club I’d better. I’ve been considering getting a membership for one of them, but I generally tend to shop at Aldi so I’m wondering if it would even be worth it to get either. Anyone had a similiar situation? If so, did you even end up buying any membership or is it just generally less expensive to shop at Aldi?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Sam’s and Costco tend to have larger amounts of a product to buy. For example, instead of one box of cereal, you could buy giant box with three times the cereal in it. It’s good if you have a lot of people to feed. I have a smaller family of three and shop at ALDI because it fills our needs.

      • Britt

Jennifer thanks for your comment! We have a family of four and so far I feel like Aldi has been working really well for us. I’ve even tried doing a cost comparison between Costco and a few other stores and I feel like I still find things less expensive at Aldi.

My husband and I have had a Sam’s Plus membership for years. For our family, it’s worth the $100 per year. You ALWAYS have instant savings available with special offers, (aside from their regular lists), you get cash back each year on purchases which is essentially a credit to spend around your renewal date, you get special travel perks with discounts and much more. Always free shipping on most items.

  6. Kathy

Anyone know how long til the instant savings coupons get activated…..from experience? It says 72 hours but could it be shorter? I’m having a BBQ Saturday.
