While these may be some good deals, please consider your mail carrier when ordering all these items, especially if you can shop locally! Working for the USPS prior to Amazon was amazing. Now we struggle with Costco-sized packages of toilet paper and 70+ lb boxes of dog food, unable to fit everything in an already too-small sized vehicle primarily designed to deliver MAIL. We are forced to make multiple trips when Amazon ordering is at a high (Prime Day is worse than Christmas) yet are still paid the same. Unfortunately it seems as though society is becoming more and more lazy, with armchair shopping and drive through grocery pick up. Don’t get me wrong, for those that can truly benefit from these services they are a lifesaver. If you do find it necessary to always order your items online, try for a delivery day other than Monday – your mail carrier will appreciate it 🙂
First of all, we cannot get all the deals and digital coupons locally. I personally only buy things online I can get cheaper. It also saves me money by not going into the store. I only buy what I need and no impulse shopping. Last I checked packages are mail and you guys get paid by the hour. If you have to make 2 trips (which is super rare), is that not good for you? If you go over 8 hours in a day its overtime and then double time over 10 hours, so you are not “getting paid the same”. But don’t worry soon enough Amazon will have their own fleet of trucks and planes and be delivering all their own packages, which in the end will hurt USPS which is already losing billions per year. It all rolls downhill. Sounds to me like Amazon packages equal job security.

It’s about convenience; not laziness. Shopping online not only saves money but time. Some people including myself don’t like to deal with the crowds in store and other headaches.
You are not “forced.” It’s called a job and you are compensated for it. If it were not for package delivery, the postal service would become obsolete. Instead of complaining on an inappropriate platform perhaps you can be grateful for job security or find a new job.
Shopping online helps people who are watching what they eat (whether gluten free, trying to lose weight, whatever) research and select the best things for them. It prevents impulse buys, which is great if you’re someone who might buy something unhealthy in the store or if you’re on a budget and don’t want to get tempted by other things you didn’t come in to the store for.
It also helps mother’s with disabled children that may not be able to frequent stores but still need to shop for their family.
FYI, I signed up for the free 3 months of kindle unlimited the other day, and I went to cancel it to make sure I did not get charged once it is up, and an offer popped up that extended it another month for free, it said like “before you go”..and then you click to add the offer to extend vs cancel. I cancelled it after that, and it still has my end date with the extra month added.
