I purchased this on sale a few months ago and love mine. Everything I made my family loves. I get my recipes off Pinterest. Sauté mode is great and less stuff to clean because it’s all done in one pot. Cooking time is much faster and pot is easy to clean. When I’m done, I let the pot cool and then I just put foil over then put pot and put it in the refrigerator. I’m thinking of buying another one!

Love mine! Great price. Purchased at Christmas for same price. I wasn’t sure I would use it much and didn’t want to spend a lot of money. I actually use it more then I thought!

After using conventional pressure cookers for more years than I will say, this is a fantastic way to cook! Not a week goes by that I don’t use it. In fact, I use it so much, it sits on my counter waiting for the next, great thing. Thanks for all you do to save us $$$!

I bought this a few months ago also when it was $29.99. Money is tight & I knew I couldn’t afford $100. for something I wasn’t sure I would use much. Well! Mine sits on my island because of all the use it gets! After using a conventional pressure cooker for more years than I’ll admit to, there is no going back! It comes with a guide book but no cookbook. But anything you want to try, it’s easy to find recipes on the net. Everything we’ve tried has been a huge success. My husband likes to do dried beans in it, then freezes them in portion-sized bags. You won’t regret this purchase! Thanks Hip2Save for saving us all money!

Is there much of a difference between this one and the instapot on sale at Kohl’s right now?

    • Elaine

Great question. I am interested to know also.

I think the major differences between the two are: The Instant Pot has a variable saute feature, Insignia has only one setting, which I don’t find to be a problem. Other is the Instant Pot has a trivet that seems like it would be easier to get your dish out of the hot cooker, with handles. Insignia has only the trivet with no “handles” that stick up to grab onto. But I’ve seen silicone slings for sale & they are not expensive that would do the trick. In all the months that I’ve been using it, I haven’t had a need to use the trivet. That’s all I’ve been able to see, when comparing the two.

I got mine while it was on sale a few months back. At first, I had no clue what I was doing, but the learning curve isn’t too bad. I use this baby for everything! Mac and cheese, spaghetti, baked potatoes… Yes!! This is great for the lazy person that loves food. 😂
