Lol I’m trying to figure out how the pumpkin design comes thru with the waffle grill on top. Even amazon has no pics of how. Hmm..

    • Angelina

      I saw that too 😆

    • lynnleco

I do not own this unit but I’m guessing that for the pic they just turned the waffle over so one side is pumpkin and the other is the waffle.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

I’ve added a picture in the middle that will hopefully clear up some of the confusion, Nita!

  2. Nita

Ok crate n barrel better explains it!

  3. Charmel

So they aren’t really pumpkin shaped? They are discs with a pumpkin design on one side. You would have to cut out the pumpkin to get the cute shapes in the picture.

    • LDH

I don’t think you have to cut anything out. If you look at Crate and Barrel there is a better picture. There is a well that the batter goes into. It also shows the waffle side.

      • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

No cutting! One side is waffle looking and the other is pumpkin shaped. I added another picture.

  4. Lee

Excited. I had a $20 off $50, so I just bought this to make savory waffles with and a Christmas present I’ve been eyeing. Thanks!

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re so welcome, Lee!

  5. Dee

I hope they come up with just 1 waffle maker with 10+ disc designs for holidays, cartoon characters.. etc.. or end up with a cabinet full of waffle makers.. or is there 1 out there already?

    • Lmh

I was thinking the same thing. I’d love one with interchangeable molds for different holidays. I always make my kids reindeer, Santa, and water bunny pancakes. That would help me step up my holiday breakfast game!

      • Lmh

        *easter not water!!! Lol

      • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

        That would be soooo cool!

    • CAJ

Agreed! I had the same idea. Should we get Hip2Save subscribers to invest and we will make one?!? LOL (bet we’d get them and I bet they’d buy them, I think it’s an awesome idea!)

  6. Tina

I have the heart shaped one. Let me tell you, I made 24 of the mini waffles in a row to freeze up. It never got that hot plastic smell and it stayed even temperature the whole time, though I didn’t shut it off. I just sprayed a little oil before each waffle and they didn’t burn, cook unevenly, nor stick. It still works. Very good for the price. I paid double, but I needes to use my Kohl’s cash and there were coupons off. Was sad when I found it for 7.99 at TJ Maxx. But I got the round flat one to make pancakes and hopefully tortillas. My husband can make omlettes with it!

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

SO smart, Tina! Thanks for sharing your omelette tip!

I just saw Dash makes a Pint Sized Ice Cream Maker sold on Crate and Barrel. This would be fun to use with cousins. If anyone owns this please share your experience with me. TIA

    • An

My daughter received that as a gift. We have tried using it twice and it doesn’t work all that great. We have had better experience with a vintage manual donvier ice cream maker.

  8. Ms

It’s available for purchase again at Amazon but will ship in 2-4 weeks.
For those who have this, does it make a mess on the surrounding area? I bought a mickey one at CVS previously and the batter tends to splattered while cooking. Just wondering if this does the same. Thanks.

    • Shirley

Not at all.i got a dash snowflake one and it works like a charm. One side you get a snowflake and the other side it’s just a regular waffle.I even tried with different batters and it was still non stick evenly cooked.

      • Ms

        Thank you!
