The Circle in a box sitting on a table

If you have tweens or teens, you may want this!

Hop on over to Amazon where you can score this Circle with Disney for just $24 (regularly $99).

Using Circle with Disney, you can filter online content and limit online screen time as well as set an Internet bedtime for every connected device in the home. Using an iOS or Android app, families can create unique profiles for every member of the home and from there, help shape each person’s online experience.

Even better, you can pause the internet for one family member or for the whole house. Or, set times for each night that it will automatically pause.

I have this and love it. Did not slow down my internet (router is on the 3rd floor and my kids’ Xbox is in the basement). It was very easy to install and is easy to manage. I love that I can also control their use when I am away from home (rewards can be given at any time). Not only can you set time limits per device (phone, iPad, Xbox, etc) but you could set a limit for a game (can you say Fortnite??) or app.

This device is great, does not slow down our internet and usually gets great reviews so I am surprised it is not this time. I spent way more on it and am sending this link to all my friends.

I have 3 teenagers. Best decision I ever made. No more arguing about when their Internet time is up. No more worrying about the websites they are on. You choose what they are able to view and limit time

I am tempted to try this. Does anyone have any real experience with it?

    • Nikki

        Glad you like this, Nikki!

We have used one in our house for a year now. I love it! No issues with internet speed. Great to control how much time my son is spending on electronics.

      • Jessica (Hip' Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Amy!

    • Jen

Yes, works great and my kids despise it! 😁👍

    • Nikki

Love it you just have to remember if something “isn’t working”. It is because it is blocked. You can easily unblock it using the circle app. It works so well you forget it is there! I spent an hour on the phone with amazon tech support trying to figure out why our new kindle that I was trying to set up after putting the kids to bed wasn’t connecting to wifi. Its because I have all new devices that connect to wifi automatically on the main house setting are on a bedtime timer so any device on that setting couldn’t connect to the internet after 8pm. Every household member can have a profile and you can shut off each person’s individual wifi and have separate blockers for each person. I love it.

We purchased this, but after setting it up, our internet speed slowed to less than a crawl. Really disappointing 🙁

    • Jessica (Hip' Sidekick)

Sorry to hear that, Sara! Thanks for sharing your experience!

    • Allison

Ours did the same! Internet bearly would work so had to return this to best buy.

Would this work with teens? Will it work if you have unlimited data on your phones, since they could probably figure out how to turn off WiFi ?

    • Michelle W

Based on other reviews, you have to pay extra for that service. Our teens don’t have phones and we don’t have Disney Circle. We use the Apple screen time restrictions on their iPads. It doesn’t work after 8:30 pm and only works for two hours during a certain time frame. It doesn’t matter if it’s on WiFi or not, it won’t work 😊

It does not work with all internet modems. I know spectrum was on the list that it doesn’t work with.

    • Jessica (Hip' Sidekick)

      Thanks for this info, Crystal!

  5. Laura

We hated it. It messed with our WiFi.

    • Jessica (Hip' Sidekick)

      Sorry to hear that, Laura!

We bought it and we love it! We have 3 teens at home and this comes in handy on nights the parents need to go to bed early. We set a time for the internet to go down and like that it’s off.

  7. Rasha

Does it work good with Xfinity?

  8. pallotto

Xfinity has a similar feature. The problem is data doesn’t get that shut off so you need another feature to do that or disconnect apps. I use the free version of OurPact

I have this, Circle with Disney, and have loved it! Recently our router went out and we had to replace it. Circle with Disney is not working correctly, as my kids cannot connect to our home wi-fi network. We do subscribe to CircleGo for $4.99 per month that continues to filter and track time limits using our data network. I read that Circle recently updated to a newer version that has a compatibility mode that helps correct some connectivity issues. So with this code: RAFL-huxmgg, I was able to purchase the newer version for $79 ($50 off) PLUS it comes with one free year of CircleGo that I was paying $4.99 a month for ($5 X 12 = $60). So all in, I will pay $19 for the newer version. Hoping this fixes my compatibility issues! If not there is a 30 free return.

Create Microsoft accounts for the family and provide screen time for the kids. This will also allow kids control system access

It seemed the settings would randomly change from time to time. Also, if you have an internet-savvy teen, he/she will easily be able to circumvent the Circle controls. Ask me how I know. 😒

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Oh no! I have a teen that would be like that!

    • Kelly

oh, how do you know! I have the same kind of teenager and have had to do many things to keep him from getting by the circle controls. One main thing is if he installs a VPN app and then goes on that it bypasses all controls so I have to check the devices, make sure there is not a VPN app and if so delete it… But I still highly recommend Circle, it does so many things, it is not perfect so you have to keep the parenting tabs on as with anything.
