Thanks to its staggering popularity, the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat will be making its annual return to Dairy Queen menus as soon as August 26th according to Elite Daily.
Available for a limited time only, these Blizzards feature real pumpkin pie pieces blended with Dairy Queen’s classic vanilla soft serve. Topped with whipped cream and a touch of nutmeg, DQ will turn your Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat upside down before serving it to you or the next one is free (more details here)!
It’s quite possible that DQ is the OG of the pumpkin spice craze. While many would credit Starbucks for starting the trend with its Pumpkin Spice Latte back in 2003, the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard first appeared at Dairy Queen in 1991! It has been an annual fixture on the menu every fall since then, so this is its 28th year!
The Pumpkin Pie Blizzard will be sold in four sizes: mini, small, medium, and large.
