Halloween Advent Calendars with ghost

Because why not count down to Halloween too?!

Before you pull out the Christmas Advent Calendars, consider ordering a Halloween “Advent” Calendar this year!

Although these advent calendars do not contain chocolates, they do offer a fun way to build the anticipation to Halloween by opening a new window each day in October.

Check out some of the Halloween Countdown Calendars available on Amazon:

Vermont Christmas Company Halloween Town Countdown to Halloween Calendar & Game $5.95

Follow a new clue each day to find a “bowl of candy” on Halloween! On October 1st, find and open the window marked “Start Here” to reveal a fun picture and needed clue. The next day, use that clue to find the next window. Open it to reveal another picture and clue. Repeat each day through Halloween to find the final window with the “bowl of candy” behind it!

Vermont Christmas Company Little Goblins Halloween Countdown Calendar $5.95
Vermont Christmas Company Witches’ Brew Countdown to Halloween Calendar $5.95

Accentuated with glitter, open a window each day during October to reveal a fun Halloween riddle or joke and corresponding picture.

All Hallows Eve Halloween Countdown Calendar $5.95

Is it just me, or does it seem sacrilegious to call it an “advent” calendar?

    • Nancy

Yes – just call it a countdown calendar

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the feedback! We have updated the post title.

    • Whit

Agreed. And also this idea is ridiculous. Let a holiday just be a holiday. Kids don’t need all of this stuff. But that’s just coming from a mom that doesn’t spend money on a new advent calendar for my kid every single year.

    • Joy

      No it’s not sacrilegious.

the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event.

    Thank you!
Love to celebrate with my nieces and nephews, but they live a couple of hours away.
They will be so excited to receive a package just for them!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

How sweet! You’re so welcome! I bet they will love these!

  3. AP

Yeah, this idea is dumb, more crap to buy. This is directed to those who came up with this product, not h2s, of course 🙂

Lets all remember Halloween is originally a Christian Holiday, so nope not Sacrilegious…why cant we just have fun with it…geez!

    • Jess

Actually it’s not a Christian holiday but really a Pagan one!

      • tipaye

        Yup, originally Pagan…💚

  5. Rebecca

Well I for one think this is a cute idea, and pretty cheap so why not! Even as an adult, I like counting down to fun events/holidays, and the kids will love it too. Thanks!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re welcome, Rebecca!

  6. Kt

I’ve never bought a Christmas count down calendar but I can’t wait to buy one of these! They are inexpensive and many involve riddles/reading (instead of candy). I love this idea!! Let the kids have some fun.

  7. Ash

YES!!!! These are awesome— I am SO excited they make these now! My kiddos (and me😜) will have fun with them!!!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Sounds like you will have fun, Ash!

  8. Rachel

I think it’s a great idea. My nine year old will love it!!
