I would be all over this if after donating $1 I got a dozen donuts. Just getting one single donut is not a good deal at all! The donut itself is what, $1.19 or something? I’m just saving a few cents by doing this!

I think if Krispy Kreme was truly, fully on board with this charity, they would give you a dozen donuts after a $1 donation. They would be receiving a ton of donations!

You’re kind of missing the point of this promotion, which is meant to benefit a charity more than the customer by offering a huge discount. Donations aren’t really supposed to be a “deal”, though if a donut normally costs $1.19 it is still a deal at nearly 16% off. Essentially Krispie Kreme is planning to donate money to a charity, and decided to tie it in their customers by having them “purchase” a donut to bring them into the store and feel good about themselves for getting a donut and also giving the money to a cause not a company.

$1 per donut will generate more traffic and money for the charity…it doesn’t matter to the charity how many donuts are given away but if a family of four goes in and just buys a dozen for a $1 vs. the actual promotion of $1 per donut and they buy 4 donuts for a total of $4, the charity receives more money.

No way. KK in Burbank CA is run poorly. Customer service is last. I waited in a three car line in drivethru for 20-25 minutes and then another 10 minutes when I asked to speak with manager. These sweets are cavities.
