if you want smoothies the magic bullet is fantastic !!! I think i paid 25.00 bucks for mine. so easy to use and clean.
If you want mixed drinks or a great food processor the ninja blender QB900B is awesome it shaves ice and leaves no pieces. I paid 35.00 bucks for that one. It also makes great salsa. I have owned a vitamix for 7 years and it just sits on shelf. I think i have used it maybe a dozen times. i find it bulky and hard to clean. I am a very practical person and i am always looking for the cheapest most efficient way to handle a task. I just wanted to share my experience i hope it helps someone
