Does it feel like your kiddos are always outgrowing their shoes?

Nike recently announced that it’s getting into the subscription service game with a new “sneaker club” for kids!

Nike Adventure Club is a new program specifically designed to make it easier for parents to keep up with their children’s quickly growing feet and ever-changing shoe needs.

Instead of the time-honored (and somewhat dreaded) tradition of taking children shoe shopping, the new Nike Adventure Club will ship your child an “adventure kit” as often as once per month, depending on the subscription tier chosen.

Interested in this subscription service? It’s not cheap!

Nike Adventure Club serves kids from sizes 4C to 7Y, or roughly ages 2 to 10. Club pricing begins at $20 per month, which includes a new pair of shoes shipped every 90 days. Thirty dollars per month will get your child six pairs per year, and for $50 per month, your child will get a new pair of shoes shipped to them every month for a year.

Each adventure kit will ship in a customized box with your child’s name on it. Inside the box, you’ll find a new pair of Nike or Converse shoes, along with stickers, a small gift, and a fun adventure activity you can complete with your child. You’ll have the opportunity to choose from over 100 styles before the shoes ship and if they don’t fit (or if your child just doesn’t like them), they’re free to exchange.

As part of the program, subscribers will receive a prepaid bag to send back any outgrown shoes, which will be recycled through Nike Grind. If the shoes are in good enough condition, they’ll even be refurbished and donated to a family in need.

If even the entry-level subscription of four pairs per year seems like a lot of shoes for your child, Nike does allow parents to downgrade or pause their subscription at any time.

It does; it wasn’t a deterrent for me. 😉 Just wanted to make sure other knew in case they were hesitant to commit right away.

      Oh good! Thanks, Aimee! 🙌💖

Nike shoes are terrible quality, just a heads up. I have an almost 5 year old boy and we went through several pairs of Nike’s before we stopped buying them. Anything with a foam sole or a knit upper is going to wear out quickly. We love most new balance shoes and have been very happy with how they hold up.

Darn! Thanks a ton for sharing your experience with us, Mrs. G. We recently bought my son a pair of Nike’s and they seem to be holding up well so far. 🤞

You are right. Most brands are making a lighter weight shoe that has a foam bottom and want last very long. Thats why I am super picky about my sneakers.

I drive my hubby nuts. He loves Nike. I buy our son Nike sneakers but am VERY picky. He will tear through cheaper ones especially at the toe area creating a hole. I purchase ones with a full upper leather area around the toe and they last a long time. I did break down and buy UA recently and am very pleased with them too but this is an interesting program.

I just hope they are doing something really great with all of these used shoes. Also, I have to say, I used to not be a Nike fan until I had a pair last through 2 kids and still look brand new every time they came out of the washer. And my kids destroy everything they wear.😞

All the old shoes are recovered and, depending on the quality, are donated to kids in need or recycled into sport courts and play surface via Nike Grind. It’s on the Mission page of the website. https://www.nikeadventureclub.com/our-mission

Nice! This seems like a great program.

I joined the wait list and was added granted access in 2-3 days. They have a great selection to choose from and several pairs that would normally cost around $80 if purchased in a size 11Y in-store .

Awesome! Glad to hear how quickly you were accepted! Thanks a ton for the helpful comment, Roxie!
