On Saturday, September 21st, you and one guest can check out a local participating museum for FREE – sponsored by the Smithsonian Magazine.
Follow These Steps to Get a FREE Ticket for two:
- Head over here and check out the participating museums in your area.
- Find a participating museum, click Get a Ticket, and complete the registration form.
- Your ticket will be available in your email or by clicking Download Ticket after you submit your info.
- Print and bring your ticket to your selected participating museum on Saturday, 9/21.
Keep in mind that your free ticket is good for two people and is NOT valid for special exhibits, parking, IMAX film screenings or for use with any other offers. There is a limit of one Museum Day Ticket per household and per valid email address.

I wish! Some are very expensive!
All the Smithsonian museums, except the Cooper Hewitt museum in New York, are free. These tickets are all for other museums, the day is just sponsored by the Smithsonian Institute.
