I’ve had this dryer for a year and it’s amazing. Use a heat-protectant spray before applying any heat to your hair and use it on the Low setting, if you want to avoid high heat. On low, it isn’t loud at all and I don’t find it heavy either. It’s so much faster and easier than traditional blow-drying! And this is coming from someone with very thick, long hair… my entire head goes from damp to perfectly dry and styled in well under 10 minutes if even that! I do go over some places w/ a flat iron after, but my hair is quite curly so that’s to be expected.
I absolutely love it. I have thick, long, semi-frizzy hair. It leaves my hair soft and shiny… like I just stepped out of the salon. Also, it’s a large barrel so it cuts my styling time in half!
I love the blowout look, but it never turned out with a round brush and dryer, this works amazingly well. My hair is on the fine/thin side, but it still works great. I love mine. straighteners leave my hair to flat. This leaves volume and bounce and my hair comes out shiny and healthy. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it. I might just buy another to have a backup.
Great idea to buy another as a back up. I have very thick, wavy, shoulder length hair and I love mine! My hair has never been healthier. I use my straightener on days I don’t wash and style my hair with this tool but my blow dryer is collecting dust. I was apprehensive to purchase but so glad I did!

Hi, Just wondering. On Amazon, there are knockoffs of this item. They seem identical. Has anyone tried them. They’re about half the price? They have a lot of stars.
I’ve seen the knock-offs as well. Don’t know anything about how well they work. But….I will say that it is 100% worth the investment in THIS hair dryer. Why? Because the motor died in mine after four months. I contacted Helen of Troy, the parent company- and, they sent me a brand spanking new one. No questions asked. If you buy a cheap knock-off- chances are not good that they’ll stand behind their product. This is one of those purchases that it’s worth spending a bit more on.

Am I the only one not Uber impressed with this? I have short/medium length fine/wavy hair and bought this for all the positive responses. It does dry my hair and I’ve gotten used to the size/shape of it but it hasn’t done any better to my hair than a regular hairdryer. What am I missing?
Same here. As much as I wanted to love this product, I don’t. It’s quite large and too heavy. I have very thin, fine hair. The worst part for me was the amount of hair it pulled out!!!
Mine didn’t pull my hair out, but I did notice I didn’t have ANY hair that was blown onto my clothes or onto the counter and wall. It doesn’t dry my fine hair faster (I have a lot of hair), but it does make it smoother and shinier than the traditional hair dryer. It is also MUCH easier to comb through throughout the day.

I completely agree! I have fairly long wavy frizzy hair. I’ve noticed that this dryer does not dry my hair at the roots. Which is where the frizz tends to start. And it doesn’t dry my hair any faster than the regular blow dryer or any better
I found it too heavy, and it left my hair flat. Also, I kept wanting to put one hand at the tip to support the weight, but it’s too hot for that.
Doesn’t pull hair BUT it’s sooooo hot! Like as hot as a curling iron and frankly, I’d never use a hot curling iron on my wet hair. Caused a lot of damage to my hair. Had to return.

I agree that is it super hot….so then I switch it to cool but half the time I go too far and switch it off! So it’s a lot of switching back and forth (and off and back on!)
I have this and like it but it does get very hot. I use my regular hair dryer to get my hair mostly dry and then finish with this. It makes it really straight.
That is what I do- I use my blow dryer to get it mostly dry- especially the roots as this doesn’t get close enough and then I use this on the low setting in sections to style. I use it every other day and love it
I do this too, but then I have double the appliances which is why I am wondering why everyone loves it so and what I’m doing wrong.

Yes, it does get really hot on the high setting, so I just tend to use the low.

I bought this a few weeks ago and love it. It was larger than I thought but not too heavy. I actually use 2 hands with it. One to hold the handle and the other to hold the end as I roll it through my hair. Works great. Leaves my hair shiny and bouncy and I don’t have to follow up with a flat iron. I let my hair air dry before using it. It does get super hot so I usually go for the medium heat setting but the higher heat makes my hair look better. Use a heat protectant!

I have this, but agree with others, is 3 very big. It does not work for short hair, but seems to do well with shoulder length or longer. I have it to my daughter and it does a great job drying her hair. Much faster than a regular hair dryer

Best dryer ever. My sister originally bought this on the amazon prime special and I was using it while staying with her. When I went home, I was kicking myself for not buying it. i have this. Shoulder length hair and does lift and add volume to my hair. Saves me from blow drying and then hitting the straightner after. but I notice this does yang a lot of my hair out.
