Panera Bread’s 2019 Fall Menu Puts Cinnamon in the Spotlight
Pumpkin spice takes a back seat on Panera Bread’s fall menu!
While pumpkin spice seems to be taking over restaurant menus everywhere, Panera Bread is highlighting a different spice this season – cinnamon! That’s right, pumpkin doesn’t have a starring role in Panera’s Fall 2019 menu.
The chain is just letting other fall flavors like apple, cinnamon, and squash take a turn in the menu spotlight! But not to worry, pumpkin lovers! 🎃 You’ll still find pumpkin spice in the seeds sprinkled on top of Panera’s vegetarian soup or see the shape in the chain’s frosted shortbread cookies.
We stopped into our local Panera Bread to try some items from the Fall 2019 menu, and we were pleased to see a mix of returning favorites alongside new choices for this year. Here’s a sampling of what we found:
This pastry is a freshly-baked, cream-based scone mixed by hand. Made with apple cinnamon filling and topped with cinnamon crunch topping and salted caramel icing, this scone is new for 2019.
New for 2019 and already a fan-favorite, this cold-brew coffee is swirled with half and half and cinnamon flavor and served over ice.
Cinnamon Spice Latte
This hot beverage features freshly brewed espresso, foamed milk, and cinnamon flavor topped with whipped cream and cinnamon.

That all looks & sounds delicious…I love apple cinnamon!
Oh man, this sounds amazing!
The soup is delicious, but they got rid of French Onion for it and I am not happy. I can eat their French onion all year long. The squash is a nice change, but I’ll never want to eat it nearly as much as the French onion.
I LOVE the autumn squash soup!!! I’m not a pumpkin fan so I’m super thrilled to have cinnamon be a star!!
I also love the autumn squash soup. Swung by and got some in a bread bowl for dinner today. It was delicious!
