Darn! I finally managed to order 2 blue ones and then realized that the OS 5 was used for a previous generation, not the latest Fire 8. Therefore, I don’t think it has Alexa capability. The new ones have OS 6.
I finally managed to get 2 blue ones — and then realized that this Fire is OS 5, which is the older model. The newer models have OS 6, which enables Alexa. So no Alexa on these. 🙁
The name of the product includes the words “with Alexa,” so it should have it.
The red one says “all new with Alexa” but the blue one is the older model. Unfortunately I got the blue and only realized after purchase that it wasn’t the latest model.

Was “lucky” enough to order 2 of these for gifts. Today (two days later) received a notice that my order was canceled “due to a Dell error.” One was for my son’s birthday in two weeks. So disappointed in Dell for not honoring their offer. Definitely makes me think poorly of the company as a whole.
Same here! I ordered one for my son for Christmas and received an email today stating that there was an error and they provided a 10% coupon code for the inconvenience… So bummed. But it looks like you can get one at Kohls for $50 with $10 Kohls cash. Good Luck!
Mine was cancelled too. I chatted with Dell to ask why and they said per their policy, Dell has the right to cancel orders due to incorrect pricing. Also makes me think poorly of Dell.

Both of my Dell orders for Kindle Fire were canceled too.
I ordered one on The 15th. No email, etc. followed up and it was cancelled. Will not buy anything from dell again. Customer service was terrible. Only offered a 10 percent coupon which would maybe cover shipping on something.
