We haven’t purchased one yet…are holding out for Black Friday since there are usually good deals. V8 Absolute is one we like. But are also looking at Tineco. They go head to head with Dyson, but beat them in some areas (price, longer battery life, come with 2 batteries that are easy to swap out).

I bought the V8 Absolute refurbished off of Ebay. I was directed there by a previous post on this site. The cost was around $240 and the shipping took approximately 1 week. I have 3 cats and one dog and this vacuum has made a significant impact on pet dander and dust in my house. I chose the Absolute because of the hardwood floor attachment (this attachment is not included with the V8 Animal) and the handheld attachments I use on the couches. I have had absolutely no issues with this being a refurbished product (it was refurbished by Dyson). All of the pieces appeared like new. There are two suction settings on the V8 Absolute. I use the regular setting which has a run time of 40 minutes. I have never went over or ran it out of time. I have experimented with the high suction (7 min runtime) but have never had the need for it because the regular setting works fine. If you do need to recharge it I believe it needs around 3 hours. I keep mine charged after every use. I love that this vacuum is cordless and weighs about 6 pounds. This is my first Dyson product and I am extremely happy with what I got. I would buy a newer model in the future if the price was right!
