This is a much better product than the one I just returned. This actually looks like a real belly!! The coloring is perfect and it appears to be a pretty good quality bag. There’s even a smaller zip pocket inside. Very useful – and hilarious! This is going to be the best gift I’ve ever given.

Absolutely perfect for our white elephant gift! I even wore it around for a few hours after I got it cracking myself up every time I looked or glanced at my reflection. Perfect for a great laugh! It was one of the coveted items from the party.

This is hilarious! Getting it as a gag gift for my son for his trip.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I agree! SO funny! Glad you could grab it for him, Kerri!

    • Casey

Same here and I wouldn’t even charge.

    • Jane

I am. I’m also considerate and think of others feelings

    • Allison

“I bet you’re fun at parties” 😂😂😂😂 I AM overweight and I still find this funny. And it’s not a giant gut. It’s just a hairy stomach around a belly button. This could just be someone who doesn’t have a 6-pack of abs. Some people are so sensitive….

      • Kelsey

No, it is clearly meant to be overweight. The description even says it fits most thin people to have “a big belly”. Complaining about this is not being overly sensitivie. This is shaming fat-shaming. It doesn’t matter if you are also fat and think it is okay. That is like saying it is acceptable to make anti-semitic jokes because you are Jewish or anti-african-american jokes because of the colour of your skin. What is wrong with you that you feel like it is even appropriate to “pretend” to be overweight/dress up/use as a costume an overweight person that would even, let alone that you would consider it “hilarious”? This is thorough fat-shaming. Don’t turn someone else’s body appearance into a joke or “costume”. Other people’s bodies are not meant to be “dressed-up” as. This is terribly offensive.

        • Mary

But what do you really think, Kelsey?

        • shop4mybabies

i’m a giant fatty…and i’m finding it hilarious, if a bit disgusting because i hate body hair. and belly buttons. something i heard about our ultra PC world recently that really resonated is “you can’t be more angry than the victim” if someone isn’t bothered by something, it’s not up to you to tell them they should be…I’m ultra liberal…very left wing…and everything is so disturbingly politically correct that we can’t laugh at anything anymore, and it’s why they laugh at us and in my opinion when we are so uptight over hairy fat fanny packs, it gives us zero cred when we have legitimate issues to be in an uproar about

        • Dee

Um, no. I am sorry, but racism isn’t the same thing as what you are perceiving as fat shaming. True fat shaming is very wrong, but still not in the same category with racism. I am mexican…that can’t change and is not my own doing. I am 20 lbs overweight, however, that IS my own doing and I van change it. I would feel terrible if someone mocked me for either of those things, but they are NOT on the same level.

I bet you get real offended by comedians, too.

You are being over sensitive, and my guess is you are overweight.

        • Kari

Dressing up as other people’s bodies? It’s a fanny pack, with an image on it. Are you also offended by the over size t-shirts that have the image of a body on it too? Some of those have 6-pack abs. I don’t see how that is making fun of althetic, fit people. Or wait we don’t discuss those? The comparisons are a bit overexagerating. This isn’t making fun of anyone, and it shouldn’t be disgusting or viewed negatively at all. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

        • MsKatelyn

I hate how overly sensitive we are now days. However, after reading your comment I understand your point.
Not trying to be rude at all but this made me question if it would be an issue if it was a six pack? I know I have seen plenty of t shirts like that with say a skinny person in a bathing suit or a guy with a 6 pack over the years and never noticed a response like this Fannie pack is getting. Trust, I understand your point completely and I’m not trying to change your mind. I think I personally choose not to be easily offended but I am cautious as to not offend others.

    • roks

At first I read fake belly and saw the two pictures, I did not associate that with a fat person at all. My first reaction was how funny! What a real looking belly!

    • roks

Ditto! At first I read fake belly and saw the two pictures, I did not associate that with a fat person at all. My first reaction was how funny! What a real looking belly!

  2. shop4mybabies

wish i could gift my fat belly to someone

    • Ms. Frizzle

      LOL

    • nicole

Now, THAT was funny! Same here, btw!

  3. Lo

My cousin bought one as a white elephant. It really is awful (realistic) in person 🤣

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      😂

  4. pokz

Ok now i know what my halloween costumes gonna be

  5. skisher

    Ohhh, this is just wrong!!!🤣😂

  6. Miranda

    No coupon for me😞

  7. Jane

I don’t see what so funny about pretending to have a big stomach making fun of overweight people. This is really wrong.

    • Chandra

I bet you’re fun at parties

    • Kelsey

Yes, this is extremely messed up. What is wrong with someone that they feel like it is even appropriate to “pretend” to be overweight/dress up/use as a costume an overweight person that they would even consider wearing this, let alone that they would consider it “hilarious”? This is thorough fat-shaming. Don’t turn someone else’s body appearance into a joke or “costume”. Other people’s bodies are not meant to be “dressed-up” as. This is terribly offensive.

      • Chandra

There’s also a 6 pack fanny pack. Is that also offensive? Someone with a 6 pack shouldn’t pretend to have one, right? With everything going on in the world being offended by a fanny pack is a new one for me, but to each their own.

        • Trudy

          I don’t get your logic.
Fat people are marginalized, not people with “6 packs.”

You are so right that there is so much going on in this world, why not have a culture of civility and acceptance to combat the negativity.

          • Dee

How are fat people marginalized when the majority of our country IS fat? This makes no sense.

            • Trudy

              Seriously?

              • Dee

                Yes, seriously.

      • pokz

Well i have a fat belly already so what?..YEAH THIS IS GONNA BE MY COSTUME FOR HALLOWEEN!!!

        • pokz

          FAT THOR!!!!! WHOOOHOOO!!!!

      • emily

I just wish people would stop looking for a reason to be offended all the time and then tell others they should think more like them. We are all different and enjoy a different sense of humor, or in this case maybe no sense of humor. If i don’t like something, i don’t look at it, or try to stop it from being enjoyed by others. Everyone, no matter how perfectly pc, would laugh or stare a bit if someone with a hairy, flabby stomach hanging out walked around in public. Oh, and by the way there’s a pack with amazing abs and i laughed at it too! THIS IS FUNNY

  8. Amy

This will look great with the sexy Mr. Rogers costume.

  9. Jennine Wassink

Oh wow um the comments ah guys this is the equivalent of those Bikini Or ab t-shirt. Deep breaths satire humor

  10. DianaC

Holy shxt! This is exactly what is needed to complete my son’s ‘fat Thor’ Halloween costume! 😂 couldn’t be anymore perfect for it… 😂

  11. KRISTINA Tadlock BOZOARTH

This is just about as inconsiderate as black face. Some of the comments on here saying this is funny are WRONG. I am not sensitive, but do know people take have lost their LIFE from eating disorders and others who have fallen into depression over weight issues. Please remove this post.

    • Rebecca

Yeah wow. Not at all like black face. I don’t know how people make it through the day, being offended at every single thing…Must be a miserable life.

    • shop4mybabies

this isn’t at all like black face and comparing the two is wrong on your part. Fat people (i’m one of them) haven’t been marginalized for centuries, sold into slavery, murdered for being fat, jailed for being fat.

    • Amber

Removing pictures and/or items that you find offensive don’t help solve the root cause of weight issues. People who suffer from mental illness aren’t going to be magically cured because a picture was deleted.

      • Trudy

You like to make fun of people with mental health problems too?! That is ignorant and cruel.

        • Amber

Please quote me exactly on where I made fun people with mental illnesses. Lack of reading comprehension skills and choosing to react with emotions over facts doesn’t help solve anything either.

          • Trudy

Oh my mistake! I misread. What you actually did was equate being overweight with mental illness, i.e. mental illness is the root cause of weight issues.

            Talk about not having facts!!

            • Amber

You actually have to read the entire conversation in context. I know cherry picking is the only way to support your misinterpretation and justify your outrage but I’m sure someone of your clear high moral standards wouldn’t want to be intellectually dishonest. I was referring to and commenting on the original post that mentioned an eating disorder and depression. Those both are factually mental illnesses.

    • emily

If only there was a product that allowed normal people that can laugh at others and themselves, those who are not overly sensitive and offended by everything 24/7, that would help us make fun of those overly sensitive people that have a true disability-NO SENSE OF HUMOR.

      • Selah

Agreed! There’s an epidemic of virtue signaling and it needs a cure ASAP.

    • Rose

A belly fanny pack is not going to make anyone kill themselves. If you find it so immoral, contact Amazon and request if be removed.

    • Brandi Wiggins

This comment is insulting…you just compared racial insensitivity and racism to a fanny pack….

  12. MA

Too many cupcakes in this country who can’t take a laugh anymore.

It’s an uncovered belly. Why would anyone be offended by an uncovered belly? I’m assuming all people cover their belly’s with shirts no?! If you walk around with your belly sticking out like this, then you deserve to be made fun of.

    • Sarah

You lost me when you start calling people names. You can get your point across without resorting name calling. And no I am not a cupcake.

  13. Trudy

I’m sorry to hear that you have a lot on your plate, truly.
This is why I spoke up. People do mock people, and it hurts.

  14. Sarah

These comments are bananas lol. Funny white elephant gift. There are more important things in life than arguing online over a fanny pack with a bunch of strangers. Good grief. H2S thanks for all you do, all the cool stuff you find, and all that you put up with. XoXo!

  15. Ihearthip

It’s funny to me because it gives the appearance that someone is showing their stomach, when actually it’s a fanny pack. So it’s irony here. I wouldn’t say this is particularly overweight. It just gets people’s attention. It could have a different shape/less hair and still be funny. Kind of like those ball caps with the fake pony tails.

    • Kari

I think this comment needs to be at the top 🙂
