Kate spade committed suicide this year. I am guessing her stuff isn’t selling as well now so it’s all getting marked down? I know I don’t want a purse with her name on the front. Makes me think of this & that’s just so sad & just not what I want to carry around

Maybe I’m wrong but I thought her stuff was on sale before she died. I think that because I remembered wondering who she was. It does make me think of her death when I see her stuff but I also think that there’s an actual company behind her name with real, everyday people like me who need their job. So, if I were going to buy, it would be in support of them. I don’t see how it’s supporting her death. It’s more like supporting her legacy. But that’s just me.

The merchandise actually saw a spike in sales when she passed. It is sad though she sold the brand off well before she passed. I do seem to see a lot of sales now though. Kate Spade brand is owned by Coach. I would like to see more Coach deals. I prefer the styles.
When she owned the company the sales weren’t that often. Then it was sold to Liz Claiborne and then she died and now the company puts the stuff on sale all the time.
I bought 6 bags for my daughters for Christmas and got them reg 229 at 70% off plus 20% off 70% so I paid like 54 dlrs for some items – I’m using mk but, I don’t think of her suicide only like the bags.- but, I do remember her death but that’s because it reminds me of people going through depression only and to see the signs to help someone- that’s going through it
