They were $19 at my store but sold out 😫 would have been the best deal!!!

Anyone else finding Brickseek unreliable when looking at Walmart stock? Went to three stores for the hoverboard deal and not one store had one in stock even though Brickseek still says they all do. I had all three stores check in the back, too.

Brickseek is hit or miss. Not always accurate.

        • Sarah

I figured, but it’s nice knowing that at least it’s not just me!

I think brickseek is pretty spot on most of the time.. but remember items can be in the back- for the sterilite totes, they went to $1 here. I found 5 on the shelf (brickseek said 30+ in stock); the next day I went back and asked if there were any in back or where they might be (and I asked an employee that looked like she would actually check vs pretend)- they found an entire box of 8 in the back – even though the Walmart device said they were all on the floor- after some digging but said they couldn’t check everywhere bc they had stuff that was being unloaded off trucks (I could hear conveyor belts or whatever, so I believe it). I’ve gone back with brickseek saying they have 17+ left on hand (the woman who pulled the box of 8 may have bought some bc she commented she couldn’t believe they were only $1 when she brought them out and that she was going to get some if she could find anymore in stock) and none of the employees I’ve found recently will check the back bc they’re supposed to be on the floor despite none of them being out 🙄 Walmart employees here are really hit or miss… plus don’t forget they may be hiding these hot clearance deals in back and just telling you it’s out of stock (then they buy it when they have a break or at the end of their shift)… or someone may have hid the item around the store or stolen it – brickseek is only as accurate as what each Walmart store scans or inputs .. last week I went to find this big pan set at Walmart that was on clearance $19 (originally $100+) and the manager was like it’s not out we don’t have it- but 9/10 of the time it’s in back bc the system automatically triggers it as being on the floor or that it should be when the slot for it is empty- that manager saw the price and I think definitely wanted it for himself – next day brickseek said 0 in stock (previously said 2)! I had some trouble once with it said wipes were on clearance but were full price (however recently there was another wipe clearance and I realized the packaging of the clearance ones was different than the full priced ones that were otherwise the same- must have updated the packaging- so sometimes that can be a factor)… the times I get leery of brickseek is when it says “limited stock” or a lower priced everyday item (like a toothbrush) that has 3 or less as being in stock as the smaller items I feel like are more likely to be off (easier to steal or hide) but not the big or expensive items (like pan sets)

Also if you haven’t heard, a lot of retail employees will “look in the back” but in reality go to the back and kick back for 10-15 minutes and then come back out and tell you it’s not there …. in high school a girl I worked with at a department store would do that – even if an employee from another store phoned in- she would put them on hold, sit there , then take them off hold and say we didn’t have what they were calling about and the system must be off (the store would ship out items other stores didn’t have in stock if someone was wanting to buy it)

I’ve had the opposite experience! This summer I was searching for those $4 water bottles at walmart. Said my store had 4. I looked everywhere and asked employees and they said they all sold out long ago. Then there was the TV deal. Said my store had 2. They had none, employee checked in the back to make sure. THEN just last week, said my store had zero $139 Circuts. I went anyways and found 2 of them!

Its showing 6 @ my walmart hoping I can snatch one tomorrow!!! Yay

      What’s your zip?

My store also has them in stock. Since I won’t be able to go until after work I ordered one for in store pickup. I’m hoping I can have the price adjusted since the price online is more than in store. If not I’ll just return it. I did think it was interesting that when I changed the store on my app it showed the in store price of $19. Too bad it wouldn’t give me it for the pickup price!

Some stores in my area are showing it for $58 but one is saying $19 (sold out of course). If I see it at a store for $58 how can I get them to lower it to the $19 price that the other store had it for?

    • Heather

You can’t. Stores won’t use brickseek to price match other stores. You just have to keep checking for it to drop at the store that has it.

I got one for this price last month when the instapots were on clearance. Just FYI they are more like $79 full price at Meijer or Target.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the helpful feedback, Lisa G!

I have this and we have been in love with it for years! We pull it out to make sandwiches a few times a month and once a month I use it to make homemade waffles. So easy to make huge batches of waffles to freeze. We have not had store bought waffles since getting this machine.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

YUM! Thanks a ton for sharing with us, Jenn! SO glad you have been loving yours! I’ve been wanting this one for a long time now! Hoping to find it on clearance at my store!

  9. Kotenka

It’s $14.99 at an Albuquerque Walmart

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Wow! Awesome price!

I bought this same one for a $1 at a garage sale! It’s great for my kids to make quesadillas on their own.
